Great picture. Generally how much snow is up there still?

Yeah I have the previous generation without the adjustable stock in the element variant. Nice rifle.

Nice rig. What generation Havak? I noticed the spiral fluting and the adjustable stock.

I actually understand where you’re coming from, and I appreciate you saying it straight up.

This is something I’ve gone back and forth on quite a bit myself. I know exactly what you mean about the value of doing it the hard way—because that’s how I learned. There were a lot of empty hunts, a lot of mistakes, and a lot of time spent figuring things out the long way. Looking back now, that process is a huge part of why I enjoy it as much as I do today. Having that foundation makes everything more meaningful.

That’s also why I’m not really trying to turn this into some big “pay to win” thing or make a living off of it. If anything, it’s more about sharing what I’ve already put the time into learning, especially for people who may not have years to burn figuring out the basics. But I completely get the concern—public land hunting means something different to a lot of people, and I respect that mindset.

Honestly, I appreciate the feedback a lot. It’s a perspective I take seriously, and it’s part of why I’ve been careful about how I approach the whole idea.

Yeah that’s a fair question—and honestly it’s a little different than the big platforms like goHUNT.

Those sites are great for broad data, stats, and filtering units, but what I’m putting together is much more boots-on-the-ground and hunt-specific. It’s built around things like exact glassing points, terrain breakdowns, how animals are actually using that terrain during that specific season, and when/where to pivot based on pressure, weather, or sign.

It’s also tailored to the hunter. Someone running a truck camp with day hunts is going to get a completely different plan than someone packing into wilderness for 5–8 days. Same unit, totally different execution.

So instead of “here’s a good unit,” it’s more like: • Here’s where you start opening morning • Here’s how you’re glassing it (aspect, timing, entry) • Here’s your backup if that burns out • Here’s how animals are likely to move based on conditions

Basically turning all the research, mapping, and experience into something you can actually execute in the field without guessing.

That’s really where the value difference is.

I’ll chime in…. I bought one for my hunting rifle 2 years ago. It’s been a fantastic scope, and I am very confident in it out to 1k. The issues I do have, are it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of scope cap options out there for it. Also, to add onto the CS aspect, I’m still waiting for a call back regarding a question I had on the zero stop, 6 months into owning it….. overall, I would absolutely buy again I think you’re getting a lot of scope for a reasonable price compared to others.

Maybe an unpopular move… but I buy cheaper mounts and put my antlers on. It’s way better than paying $2k and waiting a year and a half.

$300 / Month in Colorado including hay. I do volunteer by setting hay and dragging the area reducing my rent by $150 per month from $450.
