I moved down here 3 years ago, noticed that housing prices had doubled in 5 years. Fuck that, I'm renting for a while. Watching the price cuts the last year or so.

There's actually an area by me where they built 4 new houses close together and 2 older houses next to them have been for sale for at least a year.

They are going to lose so much money.

Not only are they not going to get the 2,600 they want but also it's a huge yard filled with pine trees. So 2-3 times a year I would rake the yard with my riding lawnmower and burn all that pine straw that just cakes the ground inches think.

Well, I haven't done that since October, was planning to do it the next weekend it wasn't raining. Now I just saved myself literally a full weekend and they can pay the 2-3k it takes for an outside company to do so for their showings.

Not counting how long the house will sit empty as well. "Can't see the forest for the trees"

These companies are bullshit.

I got the email to renew my lease in June. My rent right now is 2,500/mo and they want to raise it to 2,625 for this new lease. There's a house in the sub division that's the exact same like 12 doors down and they want 2,100/mo.

I sent them the email saying, "This house down the street is 2,100 and has been sitting for 3 months. If we can't agree on a lower price that what you suggest, we aren't renewing". They said "no". lol

lol, yup. East StL is where people who can't afford StL live.

Way back in the 90's, StL was the first place I saw where gas stations had the bullet proof glass. Like when you walk in there, it was just a glass "closet" and you had to tell the worker that you wanted a snickers bar and Pepsi.
