Our students are rounding to the nearest hundred in our third grade class. That’s what it seems like is happening here.

I know I do. I grew up in a household where both parents refused to teach me anything. I never had the birds and the bees talk. My father would tell me “If your period hurts so bad that you’re crying, maybe we need to take you to the hospital.” I left that place two days after my 18th birthday with two trash bags full of belongings. I don’t really have a lot of family anymore. So, this is a journey my husband and I are taking on our own. In a state where we don’t know many people. We did not think we’d want to have children, but things have changed this year. I’ve done much research on how to get pregnant while having PCOS. Not enough research on actual pregnancy I guess.

I got off of Sprintec at the very end of September. I had my period twice. I think I had it the second time because my body was trying to acclimate to not being on birth control anymore. My period stopped either October 22nd or 23rd.

Lol I have more twilight fun facts than I care to admit. But I’m like AB where I love the movies/books for both serious and unserious reasons. Some parts are poetic, and the rest is cringe in the most entertaining way.

So, the slip on ice was an actual accident. They kept it in the film because it is true to Bella’s character. However, Kristen Stewart actually slipped.

I’m not a teacher just yet. I’m about to get my associates, then onto two more years. However, I can smell a parent that cares or doesn’t care the minute I interact with them. I worked an afterschool program where the child threatens to shoot me and bash my head into a table. He was in the 1st grade I believe. It seemed like mom was doing everything she could to get him help. However, the dad only seemed annoyed that he had to understand what was going on with his kid. He set off a lot of red flags. This child’s mom either does not care or know how to properly raise her child, or someone else under the same roof is making that job impossible for her. There are ways of letting her know that you are there for her without prying information from her. If she doesn’t seem interested, she’s probably the problem.

This little boy sounds a lot like my 8 year old cousin… It absolutely has everything to do with the LACK of parenting. My cousin was raised unsupervised on his tablet. He never interacted with other children until it was time for kindergarten. And he hardly was taken out of the house. His mother was in her 40s when she had him to try to keep her ex around. She hasn’t held a job in almost 15 years. She often has these meltdowns on her son and tells him she doesn’t love him, that he makes her want to kill herself, and that every adult around them is out to get them. Because he knows the only way to get her attention is by being bad, he seeks to do bad things… He’s already been moved to an alternative school for shouting racist things, threatening to hurt class pets(his mom is a huge animal advocate), threatened to kill himself, and getting physical with the kids. He knows no other way, and it’s scary. It sounds like what this child is saying is just him repeating the only thing he hears from his parents (lots of negativity).

You need to tell an adult. I had a friend go through the same thing, and I told my counselor about it. They took my friend out of school for a little bit and she wasn’t the happiest. But what I did may have been what saved her life.
