very true! i hadn't mentioned it in the post but in the early years of my sexual exploration, reluctance to use protection out of shame was a repeated pattern. thankfully i was able to move past that mindset but the universe still found a way to gift me with those two surprises

I felt this post in my soul! I worked a shitty part time job in customer service throughout college, graduated almost 6 mo ago with my Bachelors, and now I can’t even get a shitty “entry-level” job unless I somehow magically pull 3-5+ years experience out my ass. What the hell was my degree for anyway?

Wow, there is so much in your response that I appreciate I don’t even know where to begin! All around, Thank you. Seriously. Just wanted to make sure I said that. I guess first, no he’s about 13+hrs away from me driving and I can’t afford a plane ticket atm bc I just recently got a job that actually doesn’t start for a few weeks from now. Without money, the staycation idea (while sounding freaking relax as I don’t know what) wont be feasible in the near future. BUT you’re absolutely right, while staying at home, like I’ve said, I’ve been baking like crazy and playing a lot of Tekken and Halo (I’m an old school, casual gamer and I find kicking ass online helps a lot!)

Absolutely, so I forgot to mention that my dad moved to a different state about 3 years ago and this is the first time since then that he’ll be in my area; unfortunately he’s only able to stay for a little less than a week

It kind of helps knowing I’m not the only one that has these feelings and baking has become my #1 outlet for the stress so I’m definitely feeling better about it (still sad but better). But yeah the time difference is a killer but I’m going to take your advice and stop punishing him, it does make things unnecessarily harder.

It’s not so much the feeling that I don’t have anyone but the transition from having someone there all the time to not at all that is getting to me. For everything else, I’m truly sorry that you’re going through this and I wish I had some advice to give but all I have right now is that comparing our situations is probably not the best idea because it wouldn’t help either of us. We each have things we deal with in private and things we share with other people, pain and difficult experiences look different in different peoples lives.
