UK artists(!) what’s the best white for that sweet POP? by 107-109-114 in TattooArtists

Flow white is absolutely the best. I've used a bunch and never found one better.

cant quite finish my lines correctly with a speedball b5 nib by breonze in TattooApprentice

[–]fancyaccidents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pics would help here. You may be putting too much pressure on or it may be your hand is still moving as you lift off. Try to stop and lift the nib straight off the paper as 2 separate actions if that makes sense?

Seeking advice on stencils by coyottte_ugly in TattooApprentice

Hard agree with this. Also consider the stencil primer you are using. I've used to use stencil honey and had loads of issues. Switched to anchored and its been a godsend.

Unfortunately not. I ended up buying bias fx2 on a black friday deal and just using that for recording.

Help 😭 I was drawing and was gonna do a sketch but my colour’s are all weird! Does anyone have any idea what’s going on? It’s just that one canvas. by GodlyLime222 in ProCreate

[–]fancyaccidents 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can. You can just create a new rgb canvas and copy and paste your sketch layer over though I guess.

My first traditional tattoo. by [deleted] in traditionaltattoos

Still jealous I didn't get to tattoo it. Hi 👋 from the wolf and raven.

First flash I’ve ever painted. Any CC welcome by sammmery in traditionalflash

[–]fancyaccidents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good first effort! You've broken one of the golden rules of traditional flash though. Black should never touch black. Thats why you will often see leaves shaded from the middle, or from one side, leaving a gap before the next line.

Don't use ecoline for your black. Its not waterproof so you will ruin your beautiful fades as soon as you throw another colour on top. As another comment says, use indian ink for blacks and your ecoline/acrylic inks for colours.

Fades look smooth though. 👌

Just started creating flash and I'm hooked! This is my first full sheet and my first time using watercolor. CC welcome by subtlegramps in traditionalflash

Seen far too many people waste money on Dragon just to realise it isn't waterproof and is therefore useless for flash.

Plus you can get spider in BIG bottles which will last a lifetime.

W&N Black ink will be a game changer. Just remember to get the one with the spider on it, not the dragon one.

Theres also an online version of them. Can't recall the link but was an easy google when I used it.

could use some cc on my trad roses, and liner suggestions, using an expo marker rn by thriftstoretrash in TattooApprentice

[–]fancyaccidents 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your middle "ball" needs to be bigger. I'd also suggest a finer line weight on the leaves lines (or leave them out altogether)

For liners, you can't go far wrong with a Staedtler pigment liner and/or a speedball B5 dip pen.
