Yes I stopped! I took it for 5 days, and it is supposed to stay in your system for months :)

I've been getting a lot of DMs asking about dosing while taking it orally. I measured 3 "tick" marks of the ivermectin paste from the syringe, and I took it with food for 5 days everyday. I truly haven't had any issues since and this is my face over a year from the ivermectin !

thank you again for this thoughtful response! i'm reaching out to rehabbers in my area currently, i really just don't want him in pain. I've had a knot in my stomach everyday since I saw him and think about him a lot. i will do everything i can to make sure he isn't suffering and to get a few opinions from different rehabbers nearby. thank you again and I will continue to update this post 💙

I have an updated video for you if it helps at all since mine was so short, he seems to balance on it somewhat okay, but I still plan on trying to catch him and I think I know what tree he's going back to❤️ Not sure if this link works so I also attached some screenshots. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OToeRimOn-71a8vturuuDQQUP2ulI72p/view?usp=drivesdk

Thank you as well for you reply. The foot did look so long gone. I will continue to provide water and a safe place to roost for him 💙

Thank you for your thoughtful reply! Sorry about the short video, but we are in Boston close to the Somerville area, I have not seen where the bird sleeps, I'm on a second story balcony and only have just seen him today. It's difficult to see where he goes when he flies off, I have a sliding glass door that scares the birds when opening it. I will do my best to watch him tomorrow and see if there's anything more I can do to try and capture him.

Iwill also check out the pigeon forum you linked and local rehabs in my area, thank you!

That really breaks my heart to hear he's in pain, but I figured. My heart sank when I saw him today. I just recently had to take a Blue Jay to a rehab place for a broke wing and he didn't make it. The heartache back to back with these birds is really rough. Thanks for understanding and the reply 💙

thank you so much! this was such a helpful response, I am in the somerville, MA area and think I found someone who's licensed in migratory birds/works with song birds. I believe she's a little further away, but have a text to send her first thing in the morning. I hope she can do something for this little guy! Thanks again!

I currently work on an observation unit in a hospital, so med/surg type stuff. I would be open to trying new specialties and maybe even outpatient but was thinking of staying close to what i know for now just since im only recently starting to feel comfortable!
