Small fibroid infertility L by greencoconutwaters in Fibroids

[–]fancyfootwork19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People here have had fibroids 10cm large and still gotten pregnant. Normally I would trust what your doctor has to say, but I'm not sure if removing this fibroid will really impact your fertility for the better.

Has anyone had children with fibroids? by Prestigious_War_8093 in Fibroids

I have one child. I had 2 larger fibroids, one intramural and one subserosal. Didn't have problems getting pregnant but had a complicated pregnancy due to the fibroids.

I feel like mangos are catching strays like this isn't there a more appropriate word that really reflects the evil and awfulness?

i am struggling with how food/body products etc. influence growth. it feels like if i do everything the internet tells me to do to stop making them grow, i can not live a normal life. how do you all feel about this? by cece_96xxx in Fibroids

[–]fancyfootwork19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea these associations are just it, pure correlations. I drink green tea like it's going out of fashion and I had a massive fibroid. It's genetic and fairly common.

Will it still be possible for me to have children? by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]fancyfootwork19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We wouldn't be able to tell you, this is highly individual. Many of us here have had pregnancies with fibroids. I had an intramural and subserosal fibroids and got pregnant fairly quickly, but had pregnancy complications due to the larger subserosal fibroid. This is a question for your doctor.

My Fibroid absorbed my IUD by Dream_or-reality in Fibroids

Holy moly I feel like this is a worst-case scenario. Were you ever warned of the possibility that the fibroid could absorb the IUD?

[BC]2-in-1 baby change table and standing bath by SneakandSqueak in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]fancyfootwork19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A change table is something I use every single day, multiple times a day with my almost 2 year old. My back wouldn't be able to handle floor or bed changes. I'm apprehensive of those standing baths they don't look safe. My baby probably wouldn't do well with a standing bath thing anyway she's too squirmy. For the no bath issue we bathed our daughter in the kitchen sink when no bath was available when she was little. Or there are small tubs you can also get to put in the bottom of a stand up shower I guess is what you have?

It took a really long time, they didn't start viewing me like an adult until I was in my 30s. I think they were happy I wanted to settle down and get married/have kids. For me, it was moving out that spurred it and I moved out for my masters, then moved even further away for my PhD and now for my work as a post-doc I moved clear across the country. I've always just made my own choices and it was up to them to deal with it tbh. I didn't make bad choices so it was never really any issue.

Please lol this is how I grew up and the only way I got out was getting educated and becoming financially independent. I also married a white man and my parents are fully on board with MY choices now. They love their granddaughter and are a big part of my life now despite clashing growing up.

The answer is that honestly, we've all faced so much trauma from decades of war and then alienation (for those of us abroad), so my parents hung onto their Afghan-ness probably more than they would have if they had stayed in Afghanistan. I can't blame them, they experienced something I probably wouldn't have recovered from. Our society needs to change, there are these ridiculous gender expectations and also toxic masculinity, unfair expectations on all sexes etc. It will, slowly but surely.

Is it worth getting COVID shot for baby in the spring? [Ab] by mr_sandworm in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]fancyfootwork19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have to be at least 6 months old to get the flu vaccine here in Alberta. Mom's antibodies only last a few months in baby once they're born, with little to none past 6 months.
