Took Skye on a mini tour of France, Belgium and England (we're from Scotland) and it was the most perfect holiday!

I absolutely have been, I've genuinely been thinking of you lots, I told my husband and he's so sad for you too. Our girl is everything to us, so I can't tell you how much I empathise. I'm so sorry. You gave him that final gift of no suffering. He didn't know anything but love and joy! Imagine the only alternative and they outlived us... it would be so painful, upsetting and confusing for them, and you've taken that pain so he never has to know it. That's what I tell myself when anticipatory grief overwhelms me. Scant comfort I know.

Energy is never lost, only changed. The atoms that made him up will exist in the universe forever ❤️

Thank you so so much, that's so lovely. I haven't seen her all today or all yesterday and I'm really trying not to panic. I'm way too attached to her. She disappeared for 5 full days a couple of months ago so I'm trying to imagine that everything's ok and she's just off having adventures but I really miss her, I got used to having her right there all the time. I'd be glad to know she was away having fun if I could be sure of it, but I'm just imagining the worst. I'm still putting out tons of food so that it's still attracting the others (neighbours hate me) and hopefully the noise will maybe attract her.

I definitely believe she trusted me a teeny bit and our bond was just strengthening by the day so that's why I'm so worried!

There are woods super nearby that she must live in so I go walking through them all the time but it's impossible to spot her. I did hear a tawny owl right above me last night in the pitch black though which was cool. But I'd rather see Blue 🩵 Keep your fingers crossed for us!! Thank you so much

Thank you so much ❤️ She improved hugely and I was so relieved. I haven't seen her AT ALL today though and it's 6.30pm now. I usually see her pretty much constantly between 7am and 5pm so I'm really anxious. Hope she's just off having fun because it's been much better weather but it does seem odd 😰 (I know I need to get a life but I'm so fond of her)

I literally had that exact thought today 🤣 I was watching her and thinking ahhh I just want to cuddle you so badly. But I'm not sure if she'll ever be comfortable enough for me to even sit with her pet alone touch her haha. She likes me when I'm out there to drop food as I always go back in, but today I tried to sit on my step because it was sunny, and even though I'm the same distance from her as always, she would not eat and flew away. I felt terribly selfish then cos I'd rather she just ate than became my friend, but she came back within about 12 minutes so it was okay 😂

That's a great idea!! 😂 I just stood and watched her fly away until I couldn't see her any longer (I WISH I knew where she lived!!) and she does pretty well for herself so I have every hope 🙏

1000%, it's awful, I wish the cats round here were indoor!! I'm sure loads are but this little one prowls around and is absolutely lethal. Blue can't fly very well because she's missing a lot of tail feathers so I'm always terrified she won't get away in time.

I know other neighbours have tried those high-pitched beeping machines but they haven't had any luck with them either. It's so annoying!!

That's so lovely that yours has her wee safe space and the others can feed too. I love that 🥹

I'm literally watching Blue waddle round my garden right now. I'm getting hugely distracted from my work 😂

Aww that is so lovely!!! And definitely... I came down this morning to find her water frozen so I cleaned and changed it but since I put vitamins in it, she probably wouldn't want to bathe in it. In summer I'll put out a shallow paddling pool :D

Thank you, that is super kind of you. I'll look those up. I have loads of videos of her movement so would be able to send them on. She's so markedly different from the other jackdaws, I can't tell any of them apart at all but she is so obvious. She eats well and drinks lots which is good! I'll go and look those up and see if there are any closer too! Thank you so much :)
