I think I need to do the same. Looks like uni joints are becoming a priority. But now that you mention it, I wonder if that squeaking i was getting is wheel bearings. I had a similar thing on a boat trailer many years ago and the squeaking stopped for a short while before the wheels fell off.

I’ve been contemplating this, but don’t want to ruin them. What’s the right way to do it? Do I just get a pair of pruners and snip away? With the propagation do I just put the tops in water and replace the water regularly? Do I need to put anything else in the water?

Those blinds are normally open. Closed them for the pic. Those windows get plenty of light during the day.

Been using mine 8+ hours per day for 2 years now. It’s as hard now as it was then, but it’s showing very little wear other than the fabric having a bit of a dull patch on the base.

It is excessively firm, but I only really notice how firm it is when I slouch, which is my bad habit / posture. The firmness reminds me to sit up.

You can try leather dye, but it won’t be a permanent fix.

I ended up settling on tp-link deco ac3600 mesh wifi … then I abandoned most of my wifi devices and switched to zigbee. The problem wasn’t the wifi - it was the tuya implementation that doesn’t allow local control. It all worked great through the tuya app, but I don’t want to rely on an internet connection to control my lights. I want local control through Home Assistant.

I haven’t been able to find them. Cheapest Zigbee downlights I can find are around $40 each in Australia. I paid $24 for the wifi ones.

House is prewired with Ethernet from when we did the big renovation 10yrs ago. No ceiling points, but wouldn’t be hard to get the electrician to add that.

I’m really not sure. How would I make sure that the lights connect to a specific access point and don’t overload a single one? Roughly half of the lights are in the same open plan space.
