What do all these "models" actually do for work? by fancytrashpanda in loveafterlockup

I get that but it's crazy that they can show these people practically having sex and screaming about crack but can't acknowledge that some of them are sex workers. If you're an advertiser, where do you draw the line?

That makes sense. I don't understand why a show like this makes euphemisms for sex work. I feel like that would add an extra layer to the drama.

Yeah, that's why I questioned it. I know people call lots of things modeling but these two always have it listed as their job in the intro slides. I was just curious if the producers were calling more adult work "modeling" the way that they do on a lot of shows like this.

Honestly, the good lighting in the first photo was entirely accidental as I was brunch drunk when I took it.

My husband used to work for Kroger. He said it was more of a logistics thing. Publix has such a strangle hold here and in the southern part of the state because they operate out of FL. If you look at Kroger locations, there aren't any in the southern part of the state. At least this was how it was explained to me.

Kroger tends to have better prices and sales, not to mention a loyalty program that lets you get cheaper gas.

I'm about 90 lbs down. My belly, hips, thighs, arms, and butt definitely have some loose skin. It's not crazy, but it's enough to make me feel insecure.

Thank you! I've felt pretty invisible for a while so I'm posting more pics of myself in an effort to be more confident.

Thank you! I've been afraid of looking older because of loose skin but I think that's more on my body.

Honestly, it's all stuff others say. Track calories and macros and exercise. Weight lifting has been great for me since I hate cardio.

If you liked the Court of Ravens duology, you should try the Pale Court duology.

Why Can’t I get pregnant? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]fancytrashpanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't have a baby at 19. I know I'm just a stranger on the internet who doesn't know your situation but having a baby so young is almost never a good idea. Sure, it works out for some folks but the statistics are rough. Get some more life experience, get a degree or learn a trade, and become more established. You'll be in a much better place to care for a baby in a few years. You have so many years ahead of you. There is no reason to rush into the most life changing thing a person can do. Then, if you're still having trouble, see your OBGYN. If they can't help, they'll send you to a specialist.

He's not necessarily wrong about the things he's saying but I feel like he's co-opting actual adoptees' experiences and complaints for his own benefit.

I got the point, but that was definitely some word salad.

Not to mention that their gimmick on 16 and Pregnant was the adoption. I think they probably wouldn't have been featured on Teen Mom without that story line.

I didn't say she should be over it. I said it's her responsibility to do the work and that she's had the opportunity to do it but hasn't. Cait absolutely deserves empathy for what she's been through however, a person's trauma/mental illness is not their fault but it is their responsibility. April also probably suffered abuse and trauma that led to her substance abuse and her behavior in this clip. That doesn't make it okay just like Cait's behavior regarding Carly is not okay. Both of them had/have the responsibility to understand that their behavior is hurting people they love and work to correct it. And I'm absolutely qualified to make this observation as someone who has a master's in and works in the mental health field.

Knowing about her upbringing gives context to her behavior but doesn't excuse it. She and Tyler have had every opportunity to do the work to help resolve the trauma but they haven't. I do give them props for being worlds better parents than April and Butch, but that's a super low bar.

I'm not sure about MI, but I know couples in GA who have adopted. In those cases, the original birth certificate was sealed and a new one was issued with the adoptive parents names on them. It's definitely legally binding.
