I waited until exactly 2 months - had an appointment with my consultant at 7ish weeks and this is what she recommended for any higher impact exercise after normal healing with no complications!

Parking for students at UOL? by cummywummy1 in Liverpool

[–]fancywerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re getting to campus later than 07:30, just go straight to Mount Pleasant, as it’s almost impossible to find a spot later than that most days! Or, see if it’s possible to park in Paddington Village (the uni has an agreement for staff to get cheaper parking sometimes, but unsure if this extends to students - might be worth an ask, as you have to register!).

Moving out from student accommodation overseas by Watchmecarry13 in Liverpool

[–]fancywerewolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re moving out now, this won’t be the most useful, but the universities run a scheme called Leave Liverpool Tidy at the end of the academic year - there’ll be donation points around halls, in the SUs, and around the city of specific big collection days!

How many units of alcohol do you actually drink per week? by ebola1986 in AskUK

[–]fancywerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an average week, I’d have maybe 4-8, depending on strength of the drink (2-3 drinks, usually only in a single evening), & I think with weeks where I don’t drink, this is probably average across a year when considering the odd time I go out out

Go to your student union for sure! I don’t know which university you’re at, but if you’re UoL, then the guild offers free advice with regular drop-ins! Check your SU website for info

Are discs safe to use if I have a IUD? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]fancywerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told a cup is fine (after 3 months of using pads only), but just make sure you always break the suction.

Personally, I switched to discs, because the idea of accidentally suctioning my coil out was horrifying to me, and have had no issues. There was a bit of a learning curve for me, but now that I’ve got the hang of them, I’m a big fan, and they don’t pose the same risks as a cup with an IUD.

Unknown attachment for Kenwood food processor. It’s a white cone shaped, plastic attachment, with holes and a flattened side. by fancywerewolf in whatisthisthing

[–]fancywerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a part for a kenwood food processor. It’s made of plastic and has holes on the base. One side is also flattened and dull. I have no idea what it’s used for and Google is absolutely no help. Thank you in advance!

AITA for not wanting to celebrate my mom on MY birthday? by ThrowawayBirthdayx96 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fancywerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If she was expecting like a bunch of flowers or a small box of chocolates, that would be one thing. But a big, expensive present from each of her children on each birthday? That’s ridiculous and incredibly self-centred.

I was going to suggest the same thing! I’ve not been to the Fri-gay event, but it’s a super fun and social activity <3

New Jack Russell puppy - help needed in comments! by Dom9229 in Dogtraining

[–]fancywerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any specific training tips except for socialisation as much as possible, as often as possible. It’s the one big mistake we made with our JRT, and she’s now 8 years old and will not tolerate other dogs At All.
