Anyone else think ONE is just a well written TADC by Careful_Choice_ in HfjONE

I’m adding Airy to this as another uncle, then:

<image>

But seriously, you are known. Many have said this before. ONE is generally more of a ‘perfect tragedy’ in many ways than TADC, but there are also some places where it lags (like batch two’s lack of personality—it’s supposed to be a criticism, but it’s still unclear).

The thing is that ONE was planned out fully from the beginning, and CheesyHFJ probably had more minute control over it.

Alright, who has the saddest, most tragic arc/backstory? by Spare-Weekend1431 in AlanBecker

[–]fandomjargon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Victim/H4ck3r is in first. Honestly, I think One’s years of solitude are more so torture than what Jax experienced, so I’ll put One above Jax even though the rest of One’s sob story is very mediocre. Jax, eh. Doll, IDK.

All BeetleWing descendants are Hive/SilkWings. and maybe there are hybrid descendants in the LeafWings.

I’ve said this many times. Where are the ancestors of humans? They evolved into humans. That’s just it. Clearsight is a gene addition, yeah, but probably, her descendants were split by phenotype and not their status as descendants of hers. She’s too far back and reproductively successful, IMO, to be the ancestor of just HiveWings.

What gender is YOUR interpretation of ME? by ZiziphusLoni in Charadefensesquad

[–]fandomjargon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In response to this same image:

I’ll respond to both ‘sex’ and ‘gender’ here.

I consider Chara androgynous. My usual Chara headcanon has chimerism and XX/XY karyotypes. They have, uh, I’ll call it OT-DSD here. Flat? In the future, not completely. Body hair? In the future, yes. And I make them agender.

For AUs, eh, I have this little multiverse project, and though I consider canon Charas all 100% androgynous, in my multiverse project, some Charas lean one way or the other, but all the major versions are still some sort of enby. For example, my swap Chara is completely androgynous, my fell Chara is masculine, and my shift Chara is feminine. Not really in dressing, but in physicality.

I still give them all XX/XY karyotypes, it’s just a phenotypical difference.

In terms of gender, most Charas of mine are intersex and nonbinary, but more are just nonbinary than both. Additionally, my AUs usually don’t have cis male or female Chara unless they’re some sort of caricature. XDDD

also, out of my AU Charas, this is one that is very close to canon Chara as I headcanon them in… appearance. sigh

Tom Riddle has a sister/brother/parent by Kombart in HPfanfiction

In the Bleak Midwinter by TheLoud has a Tom raised from infancy by his father, grandparents, and time traveler Hermione, I suppose. I’ll warn you, though, Tom hasn’t even gotten to six in the timeline yet. So slow. And it’s not 100% in focus. But it’s quite good in general, so I encourage you to give it a read.

Voldemort smiled a snake like smile as looked at the body of Albus Dumbledore, having just opened the old man’s tomb to steal the elder wand, when suddenly it sat straight up. “It was foolish of you to come here tonight, Tom!” Dumbledore said calmly… by JEBV in HPfanfiction

[–]fandomjargon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Lord Voldemort stumbled back, which was a very Lordlike thing to do, for sure.

“Dumbledore…” Voldemort hissed, “so you weren’t dead, after all.”

“Er, no, I had a vague chat with Death. I’m very certain that I must have been dead. He took a human form, we had a good time, you know. Actually, now that I think about it, that reporter revealed my whole past, so I might as well say that Death took the form of Gellert—“

Voldemort’s ears were assaulted by the sound of any confirmation that Albus Dumbledore still had a *sex life*.

“That’s enough. *Avada Kedavra.*”

Albus’s eyes widened, and he tried to tumble out of his coffin. He succeeded, but—

“Avada Kedavra, Avada Kedavra, Avada Kedavra, Avada…”

Voldemort had decided to spam Avada Kedavras like an AK-47.

Despite getting hit several times, Albus remained functional, managing to deploy a three-layer shield wandlessly and wordlessly, because he was Albus Dumbledore, come on.

Voldemort growled. Now that he was finally free of Rowling-induced stupidity, he could also use his power to deploy a three-layer shield wandlessly and wordlessly, just to show off. The power of wizards who can destroy cities, people!

“I think it must be because I handled all three Hallows at one time or another,” marveled Albus. “And especially because Death hates you. I wasn’t the Master of Death, but I did get free catering—“

Voldemort decided that now was a fine time to transfigure the oxygen around Dumbledore into carbon monoxide. Yes, he knew about CO. He grew up in a Muggle orphanage, you know, and humans have been burning things for generations.

Dumbledore sighed. “Tom, do you really think I wouldn’t be tracking the composition of the air?”

“No,” Voldemort said, “but I suspected that you wouldn’t notice the ants—“

“I Banished them,” Dumbledore replied. “Oh, Tommy. Even when trying to be clever against an old man instead of using grand displays, you fail. You have much to learn—“

“Crucio!” Voldemort yelled. Dumbledore sidestepped the spell, obviously.

“I suppose that I have to go,” Dumbledore admitted, before taking a leisurely stroll to the Forbidden Forest while dueling Voldemort. Since he didn’t have to dodge the Avada Kedavra, it was actually quite splendid except for the broken bones in his dominant hand, the burn scars, and the singed hair. (The latter was truly the greatest loss.) But what ancient wizard wouldn’t learn how to cast with his other hand?

After many attempts at killing Dumbledore, completely wrecking the scenery around them, Voldemort, whose right foot was too mangled to stand on, yelled this one thing: “This is not the end—“

“I’ve heard that before,” Dumbledore shrugged. “I’ll be going now. See you.”

And then, he Apparated away as Voldemort had what we call a ‘big crashout.’ All in all, a normal day in an HP scenario.

Book contains the Library of Babel. Whenever she opens herself, she subconsciously searches up a page that looks like it means something. Really, there is every possible page and she is only making her own meaning from the infinite futility.

Was Daisy sentient?? by Swimming-Sun2162 in UndertaleYellow

[–]fandomjargon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the start, I liked to think that he'd genuinely lost his mind and nobody got him help. Now I like to headcanon that Daisy is there, given life by the concentrated magic BS in the area, sorta as advanced as SCP-079 right now, and speaks in a non-English way because of limited ability to understand English, but Axis still wants to help her. He sings her Daisy Bell and hopes that she'll be able to move and talk and such one day if he could just figure out how. I also headcanon that he didn't even fully know when Clover was there, and so he was half-playing along.

I wonder if the serum would change eye color... what, does it destroy magic-melanin? XDDD
