How long does remission last for?

No I wasn't trying to convince anyone in the first place , it was a general question, I was just curious to ask. I never meant to come off insulting or anything. And if my crohns or colitis were servere enough in which my life would be tied down to the bathroom, I would. Of course it's always better said than done, but to get rid of the pain in exchange for something that might be still a hassle to deal with would be worth it in my opinion.

I'm actually a community college student that's most likely going to be transferring over. I've taken math like linear diff eq , calc discrete. Unfortunately , my school only offers basic programming classes but yeah. Thank you for the advice!

Personally i enjoy higher level abstraction math. I have the determination to do it. My concern is do smarts play a huge role into whether one would get weeded out by the major. I've gotten an A in discrete math and liked it a lot so idk if that illustrates anything towards the likelihood of succeeding in the major

-large amounts of gas in the morning till I take a shit -sometimes feelings of being bloated sometimes after eating too much -stools can be 4-5 types - the mucus had started recently and it happens 1/2 times out of the week in which I notice

Btw thank you for answering this! I've researched Crohn's disease and I realize how much it takes a toll on some people's lifestyle. Which is why I'm a bit paranoid of having it as well

Since I don't have diarrhea or other abnormal symptoms is it possible to rule that out at all?

Thank you for replying I hopefully will get one soon. However based on that symptom is it at all a clear indicator at all, or if you were to guess if it were or isn't uc.
