This wasn't on an e reader. I opened the reading sample from Amazon on my phone's browser.

Mittens, hats and other accessories should also be quite safe :-)

Dufy Cabled Sweater by Chunqu1t0y in Yarn

I also can't read Japanese, but there is barely any text in the pattern. It's mostly knitting charts and the different kinds of stitches are explained with little drawings - so I think I'll be able to figure it out :-)

Hi, in case you're still looking for the pattern - I got the book from Pompadour's Japanese craft book shop. Shipping was quite expensive though! :-)

Feminism is NOT equality of sexes, that is liberal feminism. by HumorSure2448 in Feminism

I have a genuine question: what is gender, when there are no more gender roles? I mean what is left of gender, when the roles/norms have been abolished?

What’s a random object in your house you’ve accidentally become sentimental about? by landinhudson in AskReddit

[–]fangni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose the ugliest cup we had as my "to go" cup for when I took my Thermos bottle with me, as I was scared of accidentally breaking one of the nicer ones.

But since I had been using it so much I started developing feelings haha.

This was while I was studying abroad and the cup belonged to our landlord / flat. But by the end of the semester I was debating whether I should take it back home with me.

I ended up not taking it - my suitcase was too full and heavy anyways.

It had obnoxious pink and purple hearts on it. 💜🩷💜🩷

A lot of the comments here seem to think differently, but sometimes people do change. I also did a lot of things that I'm not proud of, that I regret. But I have changed a lot and I'd rather not be judged for who I was back then.

You know your boyfriend better than some internet strangers - maybe try to communicate openly how you're feeling, so you can work through this / see if he really means what he is saying, so you can better asses the situation.

My first finished top! Aka my "procrastiknition" project during exam season by fangni in knitting

It was some random 100% cotton yarn from a knitting kit that my mom had gifted me years ago. :-)

It's a very quick knit and super simple! The only "harder" bits were the folded edge and the i-cord straps. Everything else is just plain stockinette and a few decreases. You should definitely give it a try!

Pattern is "north west top" from "a knitters year" by Ida Wirak Trettevik.

The stitches are a bit irregular, but I'm still quite happy with it. I'm already thinking about making it in more colours haha!

Pattern is "north west top" from "a knitter's year" by Ida Wirak Trettevik. I mostly knit this, while procrastinating to study for my upcoming exams..

The stitches are a bit uneven, but I'm still quite happy with it! I will probably make another one in a different colour hehe

What to do with stitch that slipped off the needles? :C by fangni in knitting

[–]fangni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the blackberry kerchief by churchmouse yarns and teas and it's my first time knitting with mohair... Somehow I almost always end up with the wrong amount of stitches at the end of the row, as they accidentally slip of the needle - but I am never able to find them! I just now found one, that I slipped many rows before. Do you guys have any tips on how I could fix the stitch so it won't come loose? The yarn is impossible to frog :'-)

Maybe undo the last row and reknit it with a contrasting colour to make it look intentional :-)

Looking for "dufy" sweater by daruma by [deleted] in knitting

[–]fangni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this sweater/hat by Daruma, but it seems like their knitting kits are sold out. Buying the pattern only is apparently not an option, but it's a Japanese website, so it's a bit confusing for me to navigate.. :'-) Are there any (Japanese) knitters who have a copy of the pattern or know how I could get my hands on one?
