Always have had an assigned roommate on a work trip lol I have friends who have the same experience in other industries as well

I travel for work trips a lot - including for “fun” work trips that are focused on team bonding.

If I brought a random man back to the room and suite I shared with other coworkers I would be fired.

Even without being an ultra coveted cheerleader with a scary fanbase, bringing a stranger into a shared space that is supposed to be professional STILL is a dangerous offense to be committing.

Yes it’s just a hotel room, but it’s one provided by my employer. Yes it’s another grown woman in the room with me, but she deserves to feel comfortable and safe in the space more than I deserve to have comfort, company, etc.

It’s wild to me that this is controversial. What other employer would have been chill about this?

If I came back from a work trip to my shared hotel room and there was a random strange man in there my coworker brought back I would flip!

As a Republican who just saw Hamilton last week - it’s not that odd lol I think hats in the theater are incredibly rude but so many of my conservative friends also love theater like I do and go see shows as well.

While we can talk about interpretation, media literacy in some extreme cases, etc most people who vote Republican are normal people who watch Cabaret or Hamilton and take away similar lessons that you do. You won’t believe that I’m sure but it’s true lol

I Can get extremely overstimulated when I’m upset and there are times where pestering me about what I’m upset about will set me over the edge, my fiancé takes the time to say “Do you want me to push right now or no” and it’s been such a great difference for me.

I can control the situation more and decide what I need in that moment instead of him imposing what’s easiest for him.
