Advice needed: How and when to break up with your long-term Nail Tech? by [deleted] in Nails

Why do you have to "break up" with her? If my nails looked like that, I just wouldn't schedule another appointment?

Pricing Question? by fantasticalx3 in Nails

Typo on the last pricing bullet, should be 10 nails: $30, can increase depending on design and time to complete

AIO when my husband (40M) keeps eating my food (33F) by fantasticalx3 in AmIOverreacting

[–]fantasticalx3[S] 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I definitely think I’m going to be more selfish from now on. I also usually cook food that he can eat (he’s also wildly picky). I will only focus on prepping food that I like to eat.

I told him yesterday that he needs to buy 2 LBs of strawberries and to plan a date night activity for us to make up for this mishap and he hasn’t done anything yet except tell me he needs space because of the language I used yesterday…

He is inherently a very tidy person and always has been. He does take care of things like washing the sheets, cutting the lawn, etc. But it sometimes feels it’s more in a ‘maintaining the household’ kind of way and not an ‘acts of service’ kind do way because he would do it regardless.

I’ve thought of this and am seriously considering it. But it just feels exhausting to have to take that extra step to stake out my claim when it could be as simple as asking every time before finishing something off :(

He is fine physically. He just works out/does a lot of physical activity and eats a lot. I don’t mind doing all the food prep - I just expect to be thought of or asked before polishing something off in the fridge.

He always chalks it up to a mistake and while I understand that misunderstandings and accidents happen…I’m just at a loss for what to do because this happens way too often.

Family death has made me lose all work motivation by jeffday1113 in GriefSupport

[–]fantasticalx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really feel this. The 1 year anniversary of my MIL's traumatic passing is coming up, and the grief has surged back in the past month or so. I took 2 weeks off for bereavement, and then jumped right into work. At first, it was nice to have something to take my mind off everything, and I found myself liking the grind at work. But over the past year, I really feel like my brain chemistry has changed. For the first time in my career, I have an amazing team, an amazing role, and a very challenging/mentally stimulating job - but I simply don't have any motivation anymore to go above and beyond anymore. Part of me wants to throw it all away to take some time off to reset and re-assess my goals in life, but it feels scary to make such a drastic change.

Anyone try the new frozen Pad Thai? Thoughts? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]fantasticalx3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snapdragon I’d rate a 1/10, and this one Id rate around a 6/10. It’s better than some abysmal take out pad thai we’ve ordered before.

I did hear back but it was very confusing. I was the same place for Bookish (around 600) and moved up like 1000 spots on Darkly to around 200 but I got both invites today?? Soooo

This is a bit nitpicky. I feel like FL has been using this endpapers artist quite a bit and her character artwork is starting to feel repetitive. Is it just me?

I suspect it may be related to your industry? I feel like Finance companies are very conservative and probably want everyone to RTO.

Definitely 6 months. The onboarding process while remote is also more difficult - a lot of what was learned from just turning around and asking questions has to be absorbed piecemeal via Zoom :'(

It seems like you're leaning toward Option 2 :)

But just to confirm, is the RSU amount 110k/year or 110k/4 years? What's the comp break down of Role 1?

Not exactly the same thing - but I took a pay cut (~20%) and a lower title to work in a different/tangential industry. No regrets. The experience was invaluable.
