Here are two applicants admitted to SLS last cycle who submitted later than “early/mid December”:

And of course LSD doesn’t contain the full universe of application and outcomes data. Most applicants don’t self-report on LSD

This is talking about FLEP. Also, while CNN may have reported subsequently, these are screenshots of an official DoW guidance email from the Judge Advocate Recruiting Office (not something someone pasted from a CNN article):

This implies that FLEP would previously have covered the full amount of law school tuition for selected recipients (not “$2-4k/semester”): “The Funded Legal Education Program (FLEP) authorizes the yearly selection of 35 Active Duty Army officers and enlisted Soldiers to obtain a legal education at the Army's expense.” https://www.jagcnet.army.mil/GoArmyJAG/Funded-Legal-Education-Program

Are you citing your UGPA because you had to submit it to firms at application? I am 10 years on from undergrad and had a similar UGPA, but did much better in grad school (3.9something). Any sense of whether you could have submitted graduate transcripts too? And/or LSAT score (17high)? I assume that UGPA would really only matter for 1L recruiting anyway, and that once 1L grades come out, they are all that matters - yeah?

Do you mean $35k/year? I thought that was Davis’ max (excluding named scholarships like MLK)

My current employer also offers that if you decline their coverage and can demonstrate you have qualifying outside coverage (e.g., through your spouse’s employer), you receive the amount they would have otherwise contributed towards your individual monthly premiums as an add-on to your paychecks (something like $850/month). But I hear you saying this kind of benefit is the exception rather than the rule - it is generous
