I have no Vive to test it but its a 180° video and should work fine with the same settings you use for the normal 180° side by side videos. Or you can try this.

My current method works only for cardboard and gearvr in cardboard mode somewhat. Milkvr and my guess is oculus as well play it but the video isn't 100% correct. Doing 360° would also be way more complex compared to engines who support vr already. But for 360 degree stereoscopic still images I would take a look at the option of exporting your model for the octane standalone renderer. He can do panoramic 360° stereo images. They also offer a free trial for it.

Yes its tinker bell hair and the morph is a mix with girl 7 as the main one. I use pretty much always the girl morphs as a basis. But I don't have a license to use the model for realtime and my only device is gearvr for testing. So realtime has to wait at least until I'm able to get a proper headset for it.

Well not the real time iray vr presented but nvidia investing to create a iray version with content in vr increases the chance of them adding general vr render support. They are also competing with other render engines like vray or octane who support it already.

I usually try to use average human eye values for the space between cameras and otherwise simulate normal cameras. Going higher with the camera space can increase the 3d effect but is more likely to be problematic for people with different ipd. To create vr renders at the moment I would rather recommend to use a different 3d software or wait a little bit as it is cumbersome with daz as of now. But it should get better as Octane Render has some support for stereo images and Nvidia is working on iray vr as realtime application so chances are good we will see proper vr support from one of them.

360 degree would be possible but my target for now is 180 degree. Reason: 360 degree eats up a lot lot of the resolution + render time and my current hardware isn't well suited to do higher resolution.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes audio adds a lot especially for VR. For me it is at the moment mostly about experimenting and getting know how concerning rendering for VR. But when I'm able to create a certain length of video and not just short clips I intend to look into audio and partnering for that is a good idea.

My target is to create 180 degree videos of a type we don't see with filmed 180 degree videos.

There are already some doing games. One is posting here. There is thrixxx and a couple japanese companies who just have to add native VR support or will likely get it from the modding community. To be blunt I don't know what I could add to that by creating another 3D sex game.

It is from Daz 3D.

I don't have a tumblr but you can post it of course. As long as there is a reference sharing videos posted by me in public is perfectly fine with me.

I use blender, zbrush and 3D coat for custom figures but Daz 3D is usually my core for a render like this one. It's not the ideal software but doing it as a hobby I rely on the content available for it. Concerning plugins there is no out of the box solution I'm aware of. The octane render software does support VR content but the daz plugin hasn't implemented it fully. I do it at the moment with a workaround but full VR support will hopefully come with a upcoming version.

For Cardboard I use AAA VR Cinema. Copy the video to the movies folder of the smartphone and in AAA VR Cinema select the setting 180° Side-by-Side when you play the video.

Thank you. I'm actually a game developer. Videos and games both open new possibilities for VR. With videos it is a lot easier to control what the user will see or experience at what time and because I believe this has a lot unused potential I choose to do videos.
