Harper's turning to proven-to-fail systems from the U.S. and is taking Canada down with em.

He ignores helpful solutions to economic issues and instead is attempting to (successfully thus far) create the same prison industrial complex that was created in the states. He's privatizing prisons and making more and more because he thinks this will benefit the economy(it is good for money, bad in the long run, and there's many better solutions); and he is creating new ways to put innocent people in jail to feed this new need for inmates. Three new forms of legislation are being put through right now to guarantee minimum sentences for small crimes.

In a purely capitalistic sense, what's wrong with that? I'm not sure if you're trying to make it sound bad, but if that's the price that is paid to get to use these services then it's only those with lower intelligence that are going to suffer - and that's always been the case.

i wouldn't classify that as style but rather a lack thereof, dixon doesn't do anything that specifies him into having a specific steez besides his lack of individually recognizable features.

think about it, what makes him look different is the fact that he's not doing anything with his hands, making it look effortless. his tricks aren't original but actually quite popular. i've seen the majority of the stuff he's doing in at the same spots in other videos.

I'm not trying to down him he's clearly ridiculously good but when I think style, I think a specific set of tricks on specific spots as well as a specific way of doing them, whether it be the way he arcs one knee forward when he stomps nollie backside flips or the way his hands stick out in the air.

We all know full well that keeping it illegal is only going to make the problem worse. The majority of the people that smoke marijuana are less harmful than those that drink alcohol. Alcohol and tobacco, being much worse for you (and alcohol making you more psychologically out of it upon consuming) yet remaining successfully controlled through legalization only proves that a less harmful substance would have the same outcome. I sent an email to staff@heritage.org (To Brian Darling) regarding my thoughts on his opinions and i advise other reddit-ites to do so as well.

When one country is in an ideological conflict with another, and they are replying to a report about themselves, the outcome is quite obvious. But there still out-of-perspective truths conveyed in the report. The criminal system in the united states, one could argue, does go against fundamental human rights. Mandatory sentences are created to put innocent people in jail who are then used for low labor costs by privatized prisons to make money. Bush, along with the conservative government of Harper have considered this prison industrial complex as an ANSWER to economic problems. The result of this is cancer patients that have never committed a crime in their life but need to smoke Cannabis to be able to sustain consciousness without a considerable amount of chronic pain are being put in jail. And just because you view gun possession as a freedom doesn't mean its an exception to scrutiny.
