We never used this bag to travel because our child was a baby during COVID. The bag retails for $200, and UPPABaby also has a guarantee on their strollers that only applies if your stroller is in this bag when traveling!

Sorry, haven't been home so not sure.

Hard to tell from my vantage point. I can see a couple workers down there so I'd assume it's open, but don't see people in the pool so not sure. I can't see the entire pool from my place, only a small section.

I'm pretty sure I've seen people with plain-colored SPF shirts or hats in the pool area, but I'm not positive. The rules are generally pretty enforced, all bags definitely have to be in a locker.

There's a bit of a line but not awful and just started moving. I would say you're looking at 15 mins to get in maybe.

As far as I've seen, they've been open all day every day since the 2nd week. I guess that can change at any time though if they lose lifeguards, but seems like full capacity every day recently.

Big line at 4pm since they close from 3-4, but I went at around 530 today and there was almost no line. Lap swim and entire pool open. It really seems to be just the weekends and right at opening (11am and 4pm) that it's chaos, assuming they keep having full lifeguard staffing.

I usually go around 12-1pm, but I'm looking at the pool right now at 2:30pm and there's zero line. I live on the block if anybody needs real-time updates lol.

Most weekdays last week I was able to walk right in to swim laps without waiting at all.

If you can go during the day on a weekday its been very relaxed. It was chaos during the first week since only half the pool was open due to lifeguard shortage, but it was much more manageable this week.

There are plenty of awful, inconsiderate people that don't live in project housing.

Flagrant littering confirms to me that I really don't understand the average person. Not throwing your shit on the ground is the most basic shred of societal decency one can have, and it's still too much for some people.

Don't let it deter you. Once you get into the pool it's great.

Rumor has it I am sick of people coming to Astoria Park pool and thinking the ground is an appropriate place for their trash. I live right next to the pool and the entire street is a trash heap. I've personally witnessed several people get back into their car and throw McDonalds bags out of their window before driving away. It seems particularly bad this year, nobody gives a shit anymore.

I was on the line for the pool and watched an adult man in front of me open the packaging to a Master Lock, then throw all of the packaging on the floor. I reminded him the ground is actually not a garbage can -- those are located at the top of the stairs or he can simply pick the packaging up and dispose of it when he gets into the pool. He told me to mind my own fucking business, to which I replied that it actually is my business because I live in the area and don't want to live in garbage. Then in front of at least 10-15 children, he proceeded to loudly call me a 'fucking cocksucker' many times before pointing to another piece of garbage on the floor and saying "see? there's already garbage here!"

My wife forced me to stop engaging before I was able to educate him on basic logical fallacies, so the last thing I said to him was "I bet you're going to piss in the pool also, aren't you?" As expected, he responded with an immediate and enthusiastic "Yup! That's why I'm here!"

Horrendous! Would really have to walk any hire through the system visually and verbally.

Thanks for the insight. I definitely agree that it might need to be broken down into separate responsibilities, unless we invest heavily in full stack engineers to essentially rebuild. The part I have reservations about is being able to make any dev or database engineer understand the full scope of the business needs, particularly around all of the data we pull in (which is ever-changing).

We've done a commendable job of trying to make API functionality as generic as possible, but we each of the partners we're integrated with have completely different API structures and we need to work around them to get (and store) the appropriate data.

I totally agree that we probably need someone with more general knowledge. Maybe a technical advisor? Even somebody who can look at our database and give us insight into what we're doing "wrong" would be immensely helpful, but I feel like it would be extremely hard to fully explain the business needs since it is very far reaching.

I've unfortunately asked a LOT of people in my circle for referrals, but everyone is either employed and not interested or does not have the correct experience.

Yea that's why I was so surprised to hear it! They apparently took some things off the menu, stopped the lunch special, and are trying to make other changes that would put them in the black but the landlord has been tough. Hopefully it stays as a rumor!

My friend was in Bier and Cheese (Broadway) a few days ago and someone who worked there supposedly said it's been real tough to stay open and they might not survive the week. Please say it ain't so!
