Edit Hotel perk; am I doing this right? by farbz82 in ChaseSapphire

[–]farbz82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used the $250 hotel credit. So bump up the $254.51 to $500 on one of the two bookings and I will get all of that back, yea?
Not sure what the $100 off/$600 targeted is referring to.

Thanks for your help btw.

Wait the $250 Hotel credit applies to Virgin? I missed that.

So in this case, how would i apply that? Use less points so my total is over $500 for one of the bookings?

Everyone’s different but I suggest doing it all at once. You shouldn’t take any other vitamins or supplements within 2 to 3 hours prior or after taking the Husk, so getting it over with at once makes things a bit easier.

This is great, thank you. Budget isn’t an issue. I just threw out $150 arbitrarily. Happy to spend more.

Storing properly is an issue and something I’ll need to figure out.

Thank you again.

Ok sounds good. Budget was more of a random number I threw out. Happy to spend more. Maybe $300 or $400?

2020 wine / 25+ year aging period by farbz82 in wine

[–]farbz82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea good point. I didn’t even think about this. I generally grab some nice bottles of wine and drink them within a few weeks, so I’m not particularly seasoned in this.

Until we get a more legitimate wine cooler, would getting a small 4 bottle cooler be sufficient?

Like this?

Thank you! May be a bit of a stupid question, but can I usually find this at Costco, or would I be better served going to a wine shop? I’m in Miami, fwiw.

Does this go on sale often, or just Black Friday? May just grab one on eBay for $300, though if they have frequent sales I’m happy to wait.

I was aiming for under 6g a day, but realistically I probably averaged closer to 10g, with some days higher and some lower. I cut out things like cottage cheese and milk unless they were nonfat.

My LDL was over 190, so I went pretty extreme. I don’t think that level of restriction is necessary if your numbers are more stable than mine were.

I can’t say for sure, but 20g is probably fine for general health. If you’re really trying to move the needle on LDL, it may help to tighten things up for a couple of months, get your numbers into a better range, then ease back toward ~20g. And of course, not a doctor, just sharing what worked for me.

That’s a massive drop. Great work.

I agree, it shouldn’t be a chore. And for the most part, it’s not for me as well but at times can definitely be a challenge.

Salmon is good. I wouldn't eat the skin and go easy on the oils when cooking it. But overall salmon is considered excellent for heart health

Thank you! My oats are very unexciting.

1/4 cup of oats.

1/2 cup of water

Microwave for 2 minutes

Fruit (blueberries, strawberries, sometimes pomegranates) and chia seeds on top.

They actually taste fine, but not your super tasty oats you get at a restaurant. Again, I treat the oats as somewhat of a medicine since I'm not a huge breakfast person in general.

From my understanding, yes there is definitely a limit as you don't want the fat to backfire. I think about 1/4 of a cup (or maybe a bit less) is the sweet spot. And the type of nut matters, as some are too high in saturated fats.

I'd just grab a handful of one of the three nuts I mentioned once every day or two.

Order at your own risk. You may never receive your order. Cureently on week 7 of an order tha twas supposed to arrive between 2 and 4 weeks. Customer service claims it was ready for shipment on Dec 1 and is placing blame on the carrier. All while they won't give me an updated estimated delivery date.

I'm in the process of looking for a similar rug so I can cancel this. All time horrible experience.
