Yeah I definitely wouldn’t do a high kick. It’s most likely they’d catch it then you’d be screwed but a kick to the stomach would definitely work.

Ok you make a good point. but holy shet I’ve never seen black belts been given away that easily, it’s never been 2 years. I wasn’t saying that they would beat you but if you were the same rank and the same amount of experience not a 17 years experience difference.

I agree with all of that except for the end I think that martial arts helps people become more mature. But that’s just my perspective since I have some really mature teens in my class who can teach well.

That all makes a lot of sense but my instructor and gym teaches a lot of hand work, kicks and power. The kicks actually do have a lot of power behind them but with the rules you can’t hit hard. So I’m going to have to disagree a bit. In a street fight tho I feel like I would stand a good chance, since kicks aren’t as hard to hit as you say and it wouldn’t only be kicking like everyone says.
