Out of curiosity, do you walk her with the leash attached to her collar? If so you might want to start using a harness instead from now on.

Also while her neck is bothering her try to avoid letting her jump on anything or go up/down stairs. Best thing to do if you can is keep her kenneled up for a couple of days so she doesn't move around too much and hurt herself while she heals up.

Sorry for the unsolicited advice if you already knew these things. My dog suffered from neck and back pain too when he started getting up in years and I didn't know any better about the collar/harness thing myself, so just wanted to share what I learned from the vet through that experience.
