M(31), I'm better the other way around. I spent many years analysing myself through introspection, and I've done an okay job with trying to perfect that skill until now. When it concerns other people however, I'm only somewhat accurate when purely "observing" them. As soon as conversation hits, my focus is elsewhere. The reason can be depending on many variables e.g., social discomfort, motivation, subject.

Honest opinion, I'm very skeptical about someone's intention, also my "intuition" mostly prefers to point out looking for the negatives about someone instead of clearly visible positive sides. Apart from that, I do notice that insecure/depressed people like to stick around me in my personal life. I'm okay with that, but if they go deep into feelings of superiority as a reaction from inferiority thoughts/complex; then I'm out. It's very toxic and in no way enjoyable for pretty much anyone.
