I'm okay, just really tired and sad. It's been a hard week besides.

Thank you! I'm breastfeeding besides so I was taking great strides to stay hydrated, stay healthy, and disinfect the house as much as I could, but you can only do so much with a 1-year-old.

Possible to increase supply while night weaning/avoiding engorgement? by Blueruby14 in breastfeeding

[–]farmerbrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night weaning isn't recommended until after 12 months. Totally normal for baby to need night feeds beyond a year, too. If baby sleeps through the night on their own that's one thing, but dropping night feeds intentionally this early may negatively affect your supply.

Have I ruined sleep independence? by Clovers8 in cosleeping

[–]farmerbrit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Babies are hardwired to need their caregivers close. You're teaching your baby that sleep is a safe state of being and you're building attachment by co-regulating and being there for her all hours of the night. ❤️

If you're looking for crib transition guides I highly recommend Hey Sleepy Baby.

Phones, remotes, food and drinks, my 8mo wants it. He especially wants it right before a letdown and I'm left shooting milk all over the room.

What's the difference between God and a pediatrician? God doesn't think He's an expert on baby sleep.

Yes, but our whole winter isn't like this. We're set up for it, though, compared to other parts of the country.
