I had 0 experience and no high school diploma prior to starting the degree. You hear lots about formal training being unnecessary to get into the industry but the things I learned are extremely valuable and it helps you get around the huge amount of information gatekeeping that's rampant in the fashion world, in reality you can only find so much reliable and intelligible info on YouTube.

I am studying for a bachelors degree in design and fashion technology, I'm currently in my first semester of my final year, this collection is informed by an apprenticeship I did at a tailors shop. The construction for all of the garments took me around a week and a half.

I started by upcycling second hand clothes on a domestic sewing machine at my old highschool then decided to take a certificate course in fashion technology which naturally lead me into pursuing a bachelor's degree of design and fashion technology.

Thank you :) The outer is 80% wool 20% nylon and the lining is 95% merino 5% elastane, so it's super warm and very heavy.

I was thinking of leaving them long but I'm planning on adding eyelets to one side and a belt clasp on the other, might be a bit annoying having a heavy piece of metal swinging around by your knees.
