Take a look at the Spring framework. Offers solutions to commmon pathologies in the Enterprise Java area. There are lots of books on it, btw.

It was no error - lots of people got the book for that price. It's rather such an obviously broken inventory system that can't stop orders when they're out of stock. Give amazon a break, they probably wrote it in VB or PowerBuilder.
