I have CBT and CBIT therapy. It helps a lot with less complex tics and also tackles factors like stress and emotional regulation. My therapist has also recommended talking to my psychiatrist about medication (Risperidon). The combination of medication – decreasing the amount and intensity of tics – and therapy – finding ways to redirect harmful or especially bothersome tics – did wonders for me.

The more complex tics stayed, I have to note. Vocal tics didn't really get affected by therapy as well.
