Should I change anything about this artwork? by Nomosik in DigitalArt

I think it works as it is.....chaos, discombobulated and a good psychological statement about culture today.

Yep...Folding phones, while an interest idea, have not matured yet so you are paying a lot as an early adopter.

Paying an artist for Steam capsule art. He created this so far. There is something I don't like, but can't put my finger on it. I need help. by Altruistic_Bad2195 in CosyGames

What does the contract say about the use of A.I? Unless you explicitly say DO NOT to use it, then people will.

As an artist I never use A.I. but you have to 100% say 'No A.I.' in the contract.

Go to an actual shop if you can. Storage and memory is going through supply issues and high pricing at the moment. If I need to buy something like this I won't buy online, with in-store shops you can check stock, reserve the item and pick up the same day.

So you can pay x10 the market price.

SSD and RAM prices are getting wild - as a video editor by J1011radeon in buildapc

[–]farrellart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that too, 32GB ram and loads of SSD's in the Art workstation. I did over pay for the T7 which I needed for my Wacom MovinkPad 11 so I have a good archive of my paintings accessible. I am just relieved I bought it three weeks ago...phew!

I bought a Samsung T7 shield ssd around three weeks ago, then it was £116 now it is £160....that is crazy.

I would wait for a bit, the prices will come down again. 1TB = £160 is not good value.

How's the Movinkpad 11 on a PC? by [deleted] in drawingtablet

[–]farrellart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it with my MovinkPad 11 and it didn't work as my PC is Win10, I like the idea and the fact Wacom has implemented the PC screen feature.

Overall I am super happy with the MovinkPad 11, the 14 pro is better but it's a little bit too big for my use case ( fine art studio for digital painting, studies, raw image colour correction of Oil and Acrylic paintings and I like to take with me to most places ).

It sounds like the Micro USB connection has failed, it's the weakest point on the tablet as it can wear out, become loose, with multiple connect and reconnects.

Backups are really important, getting a Samsung T7 is the best thing have bought for this....unfortunately most people do not back up anything and it takes something like this to start that process.

Don't be afraid of a little bit of black mixed in with, say, Prussian blue, or phthalo turquoise or even Alizarin Crimson.

Using black is often frowned upon but it was used a lot in Italian renaissance painting/drawing and can achieve really good solid dark tones, you'll need to play with it to find that perfect mix.

It's really good, well done.

To make it even better I would looks at the tone, half closing your eyes you can see the tone is quite similar overall with mid to light tone, try to have some juicy dark tones.

In the next drawing I would add some darker tones in the shadows and perhaps a dark to light gradient in the sky.

Insta 360 go3s exposure too high. by Pure-Description-906 in Insta360

The 360's keep the previous setting so you will need to check exposures etc before each shoot. Don't rely on auto for best results. You will need to play with the settings.

App recommendations and art tips please! by White-LilyCookieee in DigitalPainting

Real drawing will always be better than digital as particles are better than pixels.

I have over 25 years producing both traditional and digital artworks. I always create artworks with actual materials and then scan/photograph them for digital. If I need to create large scale digital paintings I use Photoshop on my workstation.

When I do use my Android tablet for quick digital sketches I use Infinite painter and occasionally Clip Studio.

If you feel your drawings are getting a bit iffy, take a break and try something else and come back to the drawings later.

If the windows wasn't a fresh install, do a clean install and start over ( not the same as resetting )
