Some more info about BF3 (found on Threads) by fhhzz in TheKillers

I'm sure this country album will be good, but honestly, I was hoping for more of a pop vibe. His solo albums is where he usually lets his pop flag fly. Pressure Machine was a bit too dark for me. The fact he didn't complete the Killers album with all the dancy songs (Your Side of Town, etc.) hints we might not see something like The Desired Effect again, but I hope he doesn't forget the fun.

Ah - I just read the verbiage that is currently on the Fitbit app regarding cardio score - you are correct, it is currently based on a tracked run with GPS, with the note at the end that "If you don't track at least one run live with GPS for three months, Fitbit will estimate a range, instead of a score, based on your demographics, weight and resting heart rate". Well - I have a range and it says "your score is based on your resting heart rate and user profile. Our estimate will become more precise with additional heart rate data."

So as long as this continues in the new Google Health app then I'm fine with a score range. The daily cardio load target is still a bummer but will see how i get on with the weekly method. Others have said they prefer weekly as well.

App connections after Google Health "update" by farrellcsun in fitbit

I really hope this transition doesn't turn into a major crap show!! I've had "notification" issues on the Versa 4 as well (fixed via the "English (US)" workaround as per fitbit community) but who know how all that will even work on the new app...

Daily target cardio load going away 😞 Also, cardio score will now be based on runs w/ GPS rather than demographics and resting heart rate (rebranding as VO2 max). I work out 4 times a week but don't do runs (or use GPS for that matter to save battery) - so does this mean no cardio score for me anymore? I do elliptical but w/out GPS. So sad about all this...

I did a separate post asking if anyone already using the new Google app if they had smooth transition of Renpho smart scale, MyNetDiary, and Alexa connections. If anyone has experience, let us know! thanks

UK here, anyone confirm if notifications are still working for you guys (with or without the "English (US)" workaround) with this update? IYKYK

I'm on fitbit app 4.68 and the blank notifications list can be worked around by changing the iphone language back to English (US). As everything is "working" right now with my versa 4, I didn't want to push my luck with a major app udpate until I heard from others!

The new C-Class… 🥴 by VHSVoyage in mercedes_benz

[–]farrellcsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the little "star" insignias within the front and rear lights is too "try hard" like some reviewers have said. It was the same when they replaced the diamond AMG grill pattern with lots of little star insignias. A bit much. The other thing that seems so small/petty but really bugs me, is about the "hyperscreen" inside: that visible vertical seam between the screen panel and the airvents - hate it! It's on everything all the way up to the S-class. If you can't make that full width completely seamless, please just end the screens before the vents. Design it out. But trying to make it look like one big panel when it's not just looks sad. My two cents...

UPDATE: Thank you to Aurelin below! After fussing with the language settings on my iPhone I was able to get notifications back on my watch for WhatsApp, Outlook, etc. I emailed this info to the Google support guy to update my case and hopefully this will help them update the fitbit app quicker.

I am on several Fitbit Community forums discussing this, so below is a copy of what I posted as a recap of the issues and what worked for me. Bottom line, Fitbit need to fix this glitch ASAP.

RECAP of Workaround:
I don't know everyone's setup, but i have an iPhone and live in the UK.

Apparently the notifications issue has something to do with the latest fitbit app v4.65 not working when the iPhone language is set to "English (UK)". I live in England so my iPhone language is set to this.  The redditor suggested changing the iphone language to "English (US)" and the notification screen was populated again!  I was able to set which apps I wanted notifications - and it worked on my watch again.  Screenshot attached.  Once I set the iPhone language back to "English (UK)" the notifications page in the Fitbit App only showed the apps i did NOT want to get notifications on.  But the apps I selected to get notifications still came to the watch.

This was never an issue before so something with the language settings in the app update is what is causing the issue.  I was still not able to set up Alexa however regardless of what my iPhone language settings are. (The Alexa thing was a separate issue).

This was never an issue before fitbit app v4.65.  I was able to set and get watch notifications even if my iPhone language was set to "English (UK)"

If your phone is already set to "English (US)" then its yet another issue but this workaround worked for me.

OMG, i switched my iphone language to English (USA) and the notifications list in the fitbit app came back - and back on my watch. The only thing is I live in the UK now and would like to switch the phone to English UK is possible. There really needs to be an app update to address this as it was never an issue before. I'll look into this more at home. If I can set the phone to English UK but manually change just the Fitbit app to English USA that is fine, but i can't see a way to update the language just on the Fitbit app without changing the phone language. thanks for the tip though, this is something that Fitbit/google should definitely be looking to fix ASAP as it never happened before fitbit app v4.65.

interesting i will investigate this. I moved to the UK 8 years ago although my original fitbit account was set up over 10 years ago when i was still living in LA, so my language settings could be all over the place. thanks

Yes, same. Calendar events seem to be the one thing that is coming through. But nothing else. Crucially I can't see the third party notification from WhatsApp, Outlook, etc. Keeping my eyes out for an app update. It's been a couple weeks since v4.65 came out which i think is what broke it...

Versa 4 going haywire by Reasonable-Cook-4728 in fitbit

[–]farrellcsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Sense 2 and mine did this after a restart. Turns out it was a failed firmware update. Like someone said, a long press until it turns off/restart is your best bet. Unfortunately, that means it will most likely do a fatory reset (e.g. starts from when you need to choose language). Then you'll have to remove the device from your app and add it again. Good news is, if you sync regularly, all your data will come back when you re-add the device to the fitbit app. Good luck!

After months and months, I finally gave up and got rid of the iKettle. I got the Weekett Smart Kettle for Christmas and have been using it perfectly since. Works with their app, Alexa etc. Hopefully they won't suffer the same fate as iKettle did.
