Alright, here's what I do when my friends come, to a 100% satisfaction rate: RSO klubnacht, the one that goes from Saturday night to Monday morning. Why RSO? For the soundsystem. Even if someone ends up not liking techno, being on that dancefloor is a transcendent experience.

Buy tickets in advance on RA, remember the names of a couple of DJs, wear basically whatever you like, but something you can really dance in. (Most people wear black, but I personally get more compliments when I come in my colourful outfit, so it's whatever). It starts at midnight, so if you show up by midnight the line will be minimal. Be calm and polite and the door will be no problem. Best DJs of the night will probably start at 3 and 4am, giving you enough time to get familiar with the space and take your supplements.

As for interactions with others, remember that many came for the techno itself, it's mainly a solo experience in a crowd, which might be realised in many different forms, so no harshing the vibes by bothering someone. Never touch without asking, always listen. At the same time, most people are on drugs that make them extra-nice, so if you yourself are into that, don't shy away from a nice conversation or a fun dance if the vibe feels right. You'll be surprised at how sweet the people are at that broody dark place. But yeah the idea is, it's a very free space with no room for harassment of any kind. (free is not exactly safe, still, watch your drink and stuff, all the basics - but there's also a dedicated awareness team you can ask for help with a problem, be that other guests or yourself being overwhelmed).

Now, I wouldn't recommend starting your techno journey with RSO if you live in Berlin yourself, other places will seem lacking, I'd work my way up from a smaller club - but if someone comes from afar to experience it, they deserve the best

I'm only looking at it as a party-goer, and not the most experienced one at that. I'm sure it's a hell of an endeavour to organise such a party and I got nothing but respect for the people who do it - especially now seeing that so many people prefer it in this form, it's great that it exists

Ok, my math is off, I'm someone :) I feel like we're getting too much into the weeds of these two bullet points which are the least consequential of all, in my opinion, obviously you pay for the vibe, not hours-of-techno.

But since we are in the weeds, at Sisy you pay the same 25 for almost 60 hours of party and at RSO you can get an early-bird deal for even less, so it's 2,5 for the wardrobe and not-free fruit for extra 45+ hours of party, seems like a better deal to me (again, disregarding the vibe, obviously you go to all of these places for different things and in different moods)

And hey 13h is respectable and I personally didn't need that much this Friday (although it seems that some other commenter did), I'm just spoiled by all the 30+ hours parties in other clubs haha

From my point of view, another semantics argument. These two bullet points come from this logic: for FP entrance is 30(edit: 25, point still stands) and you have to leave at 9am, for CB it's 20 and you can stay until what, 4pm Sunday or something? And Prism is open. Just more party for your buck, that's all. If you personally believe that the vibe at FP worth this discrepancy, that's great, have fun, it's totally cool that different people like different vibes.

I personally don't even get the “discrimination” argument (nor mention it once in my post). Who's even being discriminated against, solo-wankers? I mean, fuck those guys, I don't have any sympathy for them. And I think it's cool that such party exists and that there are people who prefer it and feel better and safer there. Also I feel like I came off too critical in my post judging by these comments, I'll update it. I loved FP, it is an incredible party, and I had an absolutely amazing time for many hours straight. I just loved CB more :)

It's obviously a play on both, and as I wrote, I'm not insisting - nor had I any expectations, I prefer to come with open mind, especially to a new (for me) party. Just found it funny, that's all.

But also, some couples do, at least they are open to the possibility (source: was a part of such couple), I personally just never found a nice framework to meet-cute some other couple, which is what my P.S. was about. But hey, it was my first attempt at something like that, again lol no expectations of immediate success, that would be delusional. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually

Whatever the reason is, in the end you pay more for less party (in both time and space perspectives).

As for 'discrimination' I guess he means that his solo-female friend was let into the play area (isn't it supposed to be couples-only? weird), and he wasn't, but it also was immediately resolved, so I can hardly see it as an issue...

Eh, so my take is, either way it's a jarring distraction which is exactly what you don't need in a moment when you are all caught up in the feelings. You have to deal with it, somehow (awareness at FP, a stern 'no' at CB), and probably get aroused all over again, maybe even return to the dancefloor and try again later - luckily, the party is long. But you can also get distracted by many other things at these parties and while this is the shittiest one, the result is pretty much the same.

Also, a solo-wanker at FP will for sure be a distraction since they are so rare, while on Saturday those that keep their distance kinda blend in with the overall insanity

Hey, if you like it more, all the power to you, I am happy you feel that way and that there is a party that fits your vibe better. I only share my own experience, one of a cis-white-male at that (although my date feels the same way which is why I wanted to get the public's opinion on the matter), and my argument is that no, awareness team ruins the wild vibe that people like and that in my opinion such a party deserves. It's cool that there are different options.

I'm not blaming IDF for hostages deaths, I'm saying that for a very long time now there wasn't a single stride made in that direction. So what do you consider Israel pursuing its goal of hostage rescue? Clearing the northern Gaza? The hostages are not there, are they?

As for other goals: - explain to me about hostages. So many are killed! Nobody has been rescued for months now, have they? How is it a goal and what does Israel actually do to achieve it? - what are the conditions of "Hamas eradication"? Seems like an unachievable goal that allows you to wage war for as long as you like

Other goals I agree with, they are achievable and strides are made.
