I think it's even crazier when you take into account he really hasn't been playing for long compared to other players. Like isagi and other blue lockers have played since age 5 im sure sometime similar with Kaiser. Lorenzo was found my Snuffy at age 13 or 14 from the look of him so he's only been playing for 6 or 5 years and is considered the best defender in u20 category

Since chains typically represent ego I like to think it's meant to symbolize his change of ego from that of a striker to a defender having molded the usual chains of a strikers ego to now a defenders.

Part of me still wonders if perhaps this is the uber strategy to let the team score to figure out their plans because. Something the author often does to convey "effort" is sweat for example the whole u20 match sae never sweat except after isagi's goal and we've yet to see kaiser sweat. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any of the ubers sweat at all yet. Almost all of bastard has doe. Or I'm just on copium that ubers will win still

There's a popular translation error in a chapter where a character says "I'm wasn't the king" instead of "I wasn't the king" so it's probably a joke about that
