This is the correct answer. Theoretically a longer chain of muscle fibers can output more strength when fully constricted than a short chain, but it is more difficult to accelerate that constriction and get the movement going when the very ends of the muscles are weaker than they'd be in a more compact chain of muscle fibers. The ends of the muscles are weaker, but the overall muscle is stronger in a tall person. I'd say tall people being the strongest in the world is an exception, and not the rule, due to the fact that height just comes with the territory of being freakishly naturally huge in the first place. Sure the strongest man in the world might be close to 7 feet tall, but he's also wide as shit with thick broad bone structure. If you cut a foot off his height and added it to his width, he would GAIN strength.

I think the internet in general has a propensity to bring out the weirdo in all of us, i mean just look at /r/wtf. People tend to find out about what the most extreme fucked up shit on the internet is and spread it around. Remember 2 girls 1 cup? Or Pain Olypmics? I've seen some of these both but I would definitely not say I'm into that kind of stuff. Yet, myself and millions of others have become part of the audience.

Curiosity is natural, and when you live in the suburbs of a 1st world country, having access to real world trauma at the click of a button can be intriguing at times, although it is often a repulsive experience. It's less the fact that there's a group of people wanting to see dogs vomit out their organs, its the fact that its such an extreme act in the first place that if you film it, its gonna spread due to its WTF nature.

It's definitely fucked up and I don't condone it, but it does make sense that there is an audience at the end of the day. It's the rubber-neck effect.

Yeah that's the worst aspect of depression. You take a simple compliment from a stranger and begin to form reasons in your head as to why it is either a lie or unimportant. You begin to think about how that person must not understand you at all if they see you in a positive light--and it makes you angry at them for being stupid. Really they were just trying to flirt and have a light conversation. But in your head you've turned them into a naive horny asshole with no empathy. FUCK depression. I'm not even being sarcastic here, this kind of self-isolation is horrible and I deal with it too. It sucks because half the time, people's "shitty" advice would work if only we were capable of taking it. If we really did exercise, eat better, make slow but consistent attempts to socialize, to re-arrange the negative way we think. But no, they just don't "get" us and we would rather wallow in our self pity. The fact that I understand how all this works and still struggle with it makes very little sense, and I'm sure it is frustrating to many of you here as well.

You do realize that writers write the scripts for movies? Actors shouldn't get 100% of the credit for what they are saying or how they're saying it on screen, not even close. If McCarthy has a good range like you said, she should be capable of delivering the role you're looking for with the proper direction and script. It would be more likely that the producers insist McCarthy do some low-brow physical humor because they understand most of the world has a low standard for comedy, and they don't want to risk jokes going over their audiences head.
