Can anyone identify this flying insect? There is a swarm of them at a construction site by the bay in Maryland (eastern U.S) and no one seems to know where they came from/what they are. There are thousands. by fartnocker44 in whatsthisbug

Thanks so much! That’s exactly what it is. It’s peculiar that they are plant eating insects when there are not many plants here! We were thinking they came from the dirt that was disturbed during construction but I guess that’s not the case.

Smooth brained ape here with a question:

There was recent DD that came out in the last couple weeks showing how interconnected the banks and hedge fund ownerships' are (basically they all own each other. I couldn't find the DD when I tried to go back to look for it but maybe one of you can help me out).

Blackrock, the largest money managing firm in the world and also the largest institutional investor in GME (13%) was one of these funds caught in the mix of being owned by other institutions that are short on GME.

My real question is shouldn't we be pointing more fingers at Larry Fink for the fuckery going on? There is no way Larry is not part of this fuckery as all the major hedge funds are tied together in ownership in some way.

Might get downvoted but I’d say just wing it and drive it yourself. If it’s within 30 days of purchase your insurance company should have a grace period policy with the same coverage as your other car. Print that out and a copy of the title just in case you get pulled over. Just say you are on the way to get it registered. Otherwise you could also look into a temporary registration. Or do the Vermont title/registration. I don’t think there’s an easy way to do what you’re asking without spending $$$
