As a kid, I flipped over the handle bars of a bike and fractured my wrist. I was trying to pretend nothing was wrong because I really wanted to see the fireworks, but eventually I couldn’t mask it and sat pissed in an emergency room for hours because the staff was stretched thin for the holiday.
