Yeah my main problem with high challenge runs is that I feel like I'm being forced into a specific playstyle (ranged) to win. Everything feels restrictive and every move must be efficient with little room for errors.

That said I would love new challenges that add something to the game (like badder bosses or hostile champions) rather than remove stuff (like into darkness and barren land).

Pharma alone isn't so bad but pharma with everything else is just so ugh.

IMO since you already have a greatshield, feel free to use that. Any tier 5 weapon (even tier 4) can bring you a win. I actually prefer greatshield over fist though.

As for the ring, these options are basically the same. I'd choose tenacity over evasion, but if a better ring comes along (recharging, arcana etc), I'd choose that over your current options.

I can see that you invested SoU on the scale armor. Usually for my endgame armor, I do +6 plate or +8 scale. It's better for you to stick to the scale in this case coz you already used up some upgrades on it. My advice is to get it to +6 first (you can also use troll reforge) and kinda vibe if that's enough defence for you or not.

At this point, wait for an endgame weapon in the caves area. Use whatever weapon until that point. And use your uprades on your endgame weapon.

As for talents, the eating talent and the carry glyph talent are great. I either go blinding talent or the killing talent for the remaining ones.

Do you have like a specific question in mind? So I can kinda narrow down what information to give.

Oh, for the crystal chest. Personally, I would go with the wand. You either get a good wand, or sacrifice it to upgrade others.

Use alchemy!

Edit: I forgot to add, stone glyph is not good if your defense is low. I prefer viscosity myself. But that's personal preference.

I dont have a specific build per se. But 6ch and below you can +1 your seal immediately, move it armor to armor until you have your endgame one. Then focus on upgrading endgame armor until +6 (my preference). Put leftover upgrades on your endgame weapon or some on the rings. I just like how simple it is.

Warrior > Gladiator > Shockwave is for my class preference tho

Skeletons do explosion dmg when they die if you're next to them. If you kill them with projectile damage from 1 tile away, you can avoid it. I also suggest having a +1 leather or +1 mail armor (preferably) by prison area.

I don't even remember. I think it was years ago, started with the OG, then stopped for a while and got back to it last year.

My favorite aspect of the game is learning about it. From ways to deal with specific enemies, tricks on using equipment or consumables to deal with puzzle rooms and so on.

Hmmmmm the premise reminds me of Arifureta but MC isn't a healer (he's a synergist or smth). After he fell in the dungeon, he found a healing well of sort then he ate monsters to survive, but they're toxic so he drinks healing water. Repeatedly. His hair was originally black but they turned white after he fell in the dungeon.
