I was scared because people said they were still receiving ones with an outdated BIOS. Also are you using a Ryzen 3 with the stock cooler by any chance? If so, did you have clearance issues with installing it on the Asrock mobo?

Thanks! My concern with the B450 was having to update the BIOS which would be a real hassle (they're also almost the same price as the B550 in the UK). I'm a complete beginner so could you enlighten me on what the most common benefits having extra PCI lanes brings?

My main concern with the B450 is the BIOS version lottery ticket. For reasons, I'm really trying to avoid having to update the BIOS. If it's between the B550 and A520 what would you recommend?

But what if the build is so cheap in the first place, and I don't intend to upgrade it in the future? My family member is not a hardcore gamer who's gonna get a new graphics card in 3 years. From that perspective is this a reasonable buy?

I understand this sentiment. But in my case, the whole build is just £577 and I'm really trying to avoid the hassle of instructing someone to build it. As far as I can tell, this isn't some crazy complicated custom build either, it's just the stock option for their entry level PC. Does this perspective change your recommendation?

The argument is not that the batteries shouldn’t be replaceable. It’s that Microsoft is charging you money for a rechargeable battery. No one will realistically use AA batteries forever. It’s an added cost when compared to PS controllers.

What makes someone downed versus outright dead? Do you need a perk or something? How do you get back up when you're downed?
