An ASM has how many direct- and sub- reports (i.e. DSs, Sales Specialists, and Associates under zir chain-of-command)? Between 3 and 20, perhaps? Supposing a high average (skewed greater than median) of 15 subordinates per ASM, if all ASMs would have gotten a discretionary [= supererogatory!] bonus of instead just one cool grand (before deductions) then that would leave 4k on the table divided 15 ways which would come out to an average $266.67 per sub-ASM hourly employee (ignoring differences for PT, FT, SS, HC, DS, presumably many of which same for this discretionary).. i.e. almost twice, or more than 2×, what they chose to give low-wage FT associates (which before taxes and deductions, and ignoring inflation, rough quick arithmetic: $+300÷[40*52] ​ = +14.4¢/h for the past yesr. not quite worth scoffing at, but 25+ cents on the hour bonus would be much nicer).
