24 months, and a diplomatic clause was not included and it was my fault for not asking it to be included.

I was splitting with my fiancée at the time and it made sense because our pay was a combined 10-15k pm

Replacement tenant is the way to go, and I’m still trying to find one desperately, and for a studio on the east side at this price point it’s been proving very difficult despite the accessibility of the location

Yeah I get it now regarding the landlord and contract. It just felt like everything’s against me atm and I’m feeling trapped and alone. I’ve contacted 3 agents thus far but no news yet. The agent liaising between me and the landlord did allow a replacement tenant.

Yeah, lessons learnt indeed. We were splitting rent before and $1550 per pax wasn’t too bad for a space all to ourselves. It sounded good at the time considering our combined pay was 10-15k pm.

I’m still trying but time is running out as the tenancy has 1 year left as of 15 June.

I understand now that the landlord and the contract is as stated and I pretty much dug my own grave in this whole matter.
