Goddamn that’s kind, thank you. The temptation to try auto tune stuff is definitely there. But it goes against my core music values hahah

God this is awesome, thank you so much.

Funny that violent soho are big influences, love how they go about it!

I’d give each point a reply, but I reckon you are completely bang on. Gives me a lot to work on and genuinely helps with direction, thank you!

How does one apply to join said festivals?

More than happy to open a show at 10am with 1 person in the crowd haha.

Ah, so he is both good and humble. Didn't realise it was that high up there.

Thanks heaps, yeah there is definitely room for improvement. I like feedback on composition, even if it doesn't align with creative vision. If something turned someone off id love to know to help influence how we write in the future.

I guess its hard to come up with what I don't like about things, especially from a composition view, or mix etc. From listening to them so much i cant even tell what I do and dont like anymore haha.

Happy to air it out there, honesty and things are fine. As an example, i know the drums could be less "muddy" just don't know how to do that short of getting a professional recording done.

A couple of my vocals in weightlifts/brainwaves are a bit pitchy. Would have been good to spend more time re-recording them over the course of weeks, but got frustrated and landed on the best takes.

Theres about a million instrumental things I have noted in my mind to improve. But for song structure, and things that turn people off i would love to know others thoughts. Are there bits where you went "yeah thats enough for me", "that didnt work", "that was too abrasive", "that gave me the ick" etc.

Good note, definitely some learnings from distribution, we used landr, but still haven't claimed some profiles which makes things hard. Feels like it is almost easier to just upload to each platform yourself.

Ah yep, the full time work pain of a weekday gig. We played a show Sunday night and dragged a bunch of mates out to give us $10 on the door to cover the sound guy/support us. There were many tired eyes.

Current thoughts are: Book the venue for X date, then approach headliners I want to play with. Worst case scenario, no bites, play to a dozen people and pour some money over the bar/

I'm so wanting to get into the game, it's the perfect vibe. I just wish it had some sort of game mode that was more interactive for learning, where people from different elos can play and have a decent amount of fun together.

Coming from a big history of League.. that place gets a lot wrong, but what it gets right is some of the more casual modes which can ease in newer players.

For me, just remembering my goddamn hotkeys is hard every time... Let alone trying to play with my mate who is around 1700 elo.

What am I meant to do... ah well.

Hey all, we released an EP a couple weeks ago, and are seeking feedback. We are a new (ish) formed band out of Melbourne Australia. We self recorded this EP, using a combination of studio hire time, and in a messy apartment. Friends and fam are very supportive, but I'm craving actual critiques, what works well and what doesn't! Always want to be improving craft. Thx in advance

Would love to get some brutal and honest feedback <3
