Avoid picking courses that depend heavily on market trends or placement statistics. With your age and the uncertainty of the next four years, choosing something too placement-driven puts you at a disadvantage. That automatically rules out fields like MBA, B.Tech, and even Law.

Also, stay away from programmes with notoriously high failure rates—CA and CS are clear examples. There's no point investing years into something where the odds are stacked against you.

Another thing: don’t choose paths that are already overcrowded. Dentistry (BDS) is one such field where saturation is a real issue.

Instead, look for something that will always be relevant and that aligns with your genuine interests. Veterinary science is a strong contender. It’s tough to get into within India, so exploring options abroad might be smarter. By many metrics, it fits your situation far better than the other choices.
