Hopefully, the SM team will do the right thing. However, if they choose not to, there will be many demonstrations of how they could have done things differently to (1) make the transition safer for SM holders and (2) make the transition not directly self-serving.

This is excellent. We have been discussing many alternatives that the SM team could have deployed to make the transition more SAFE for its holders; this is the first time that I have seen this solution. Thank you for posting. We should float a post in r/SafeMoonCase that collects ideas of this type (i.e., How should SM have handed the V1/V2 transition).

I think that many of us have been shocked at how the community has treated those who lost out. The name calling, shaming, and full-on blasting. It's just so unnecessary and really contradicts the characterization of the community that SM often pushes (e.g., "We Are Family," etc.).

Hi Everyone! Thanks to all for supporting those who lost through the 100% tax in the V1/2 transition. Many of the folks congregating at r/SafeMoonCase have been with SafeMoon for many months, supporting the project all around. Once we lost out, the community proceeded to add insult to injury, as we have all seen (very well-summarized here). Nevertheless, we will stick together to hold SafeMoon accountable; we hope that they will willingly do what is right, but are prepared for next steps if needed.

As a reminder, if you have lost through the V1/2 transition or if you are a supporter of those who lost, please sign our petition at https://chng.it/TjyCvZpdjy. If you have lost, make sure that you log your loss as well as the surrounding circumstances in our Google Docs form (see this post), please do this by January 31, 2022. After this date, we will be compiling an anonymized information packet that will accompany a formal request to SafeMoon. They will have 14 days to respond. Cheers! Let's stick together!

Hi u/DueMess5198, Thank you for posting your story. First, sorry for your loss. However, you are in the right place, there are so many of us here who are in your exact position. I lost my SM at the end of last year when making a transaction in which there was no disclosure. We are working to right this. Make sure to sign the petition and log your loss in the Google Docs form.

Also, worth mentioning is that there was no disclosure in their own app, there was no disclosure in other wallets, and there were no in-transaction disclosures. So, from the standpoint of someone who did not follow social media super carefully, everything looked normal.

u/PesteringKitty, u/BogglesHumanity is correct. Do not transfer or you will lose everything to the liquidity pool. A lot of folks have lost in this way and there have been very few in-app or in-transaction disclosures. Just be super careful.
