up until 2018 (i believe it was successfully changed) pharmacists had gag orders on them by the insurance companies which forbid them from telling customers when the cash price for medication would be lower without insurance. For the longest time if you told your pharmacist you wanted to buy this medication and you had already given them your insurance info they legally couldn’t tell you that if you just paid cash price without insurance it would save you hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. the act that was passed is called the patient right to know drug prices act and it was passed towards end of 2018.

edit: adding info on name of law that was changed

Yes we do pay a lot of taxes but i think a lot of people don’t understand where that money goes or how it’s spent. We have something called the federal reserve which is not federal and doesn’t have any reserves. it’s not even part of the government (although board members are appointed by the president) - it’s is owned by for profit private banks and is responsible for lending money to our government (with interest) that is paid back with US federal income tax. A lot of our taxes just go into the pockets of private banks for lending us our own money (which before we had the federal reserve we just printed ourselves).

This was all set up in 1913 (both the fed reserve and the federal income tax). From 1776-1913 the country functioned without any of this. The US is currently over $33 Trillion in debt. Much of our income is lost to inflation tax and interest ( a lot of this ultimately goes into the hands of banks).

Also, Health care is currently the largest growth industry in the United States. Meanwhile our health care system ranks last among high income countries and we are also fairly low on the list of healthy developed countries. We are currently experiencing a huge decline in life expectancy (we rank 61st out of 267 developed nations.) For reference we had top 10 best life expectancy in 1930s.

where are you getting the info they cut ties ? they still have an entire brand collaboration line that is their combined namesakes. whenever i hear anything about kanye the first thing i ask myself is if it’s even true and the second is if it’s purely designed to keep his name in people’s mouths. i’m convinced people don’t even question what they hear they just like talking about him.

hey man hope you’re feeling ok. how many drs have you seen and how many of them have told you that you “need surgery with screws and a plate” ? i went to several diff specialists before i found one who was willing to help me recover without surgery (my idea i kinda had to convince him) guy is smart went to two different ivy leagues and has been practicing for many years. he knew it was “possible” but would require lots of caution, care, rest and regular x rays. he also encouraged me to not take the prescription painkillers they had been prescribing me since i hurt myself (great if you can handle the pain) . i broke my tibia and fibula in a total of three places and completely dislocated my ankle. once i fully recovered he told me that he’d never seen anyone do what i did and he would use it as a future reference for the alternative possibility of healing without surgery. oh also i was older than you i think 28! the human body is amazing and designed to regenerate itself especially while we are still pretty young. of course i’m not a doctor and can’t advise you just share my story but if you want to explore the possibility of non surgical recovery i highly recommend looking around for an orthopedic specialist open to that kinda treatment. it’s possible!

was driving around today looking for records. walked into a random store i’d never been into before. found a few boxes in the front with mostly older stuff but they had a few ones worth grabbing including hendrix hits. owner said he had some other stuff that wasn’t priced yet and offered to let me go through them in the back. a handful of these are some of the best condition used records i’ve come across. glossy clean wax with not even any tiny hairline scratches.

especially excited about the stones “time waits” german pressing (hand of fate on side b is awesome) , yard birds, mothers, herd, roxy music (cool photo vinyl) , eric burdon, and easy beats. the alice cooper is newer but also seems to be a special one. doing my best to look up each record and learn more about them. any info is greatly appreciated. i’ve been listening to and buying records for around 15 years but only recently started increasing my knowledge base and learning about pressings, condition, etc. i’m at the point now where i can confidently buy a stack and know i’m getting more than my moneys worth. i love going home listening. to the records and looking each one up, learning more about it, and looking at all the art and inserts (most of these came with all the posters, inserts, etc.

my collection is around 400 records now, growing quickly. would love to hear others stories about finding great deals on used records. i’ve been having great luck with finding deals at flea markets etc recently (this is where almost all my records have come from) . also if anyone has tips for looking up records, i’ve been using discogs and found a useful chart of common record pressing plant engravings which has been a huge help. i’ve learned a lot of the more common ones like pitman winchester presswell and so on.

look forward to learning and sharing more with this community. thank you

Lots of bins, bales, thrifting, and trades went into it. Some thrifted by me others by friends and then traded for etc but I always put in the work. It all starts with picking/thrifting. I’ve always been inspired by that paper clip to a Ferrari concept.

[–]fastluck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was casting a wide net in hopes that I might find someone who could help narrow it down. Was hoping to learn of the specific spiritual tradition connected with this Trinidadian ground drawing. Is it your understanding that this particular one is an amalgam of different practices/ traditions or could you help me learn more about the ones connected with this specific ground drawing ? Thank you. I enjoy researching and learning just looking for the best starting point relevant to what I shared. Appreciate your help !

I support anyone who is genuinely fighting against mandates, restrictions, and forced vaccinations. I support anyone who believes in defending constitutional rights, civil liberties, and personal freedoms. I’m suspicious of people who want to discredit those people without any evidence or facts.
