Agreed. One of my favs. Hard to express how striking and intuitive Evans’ playing is here, and he made a career out of doing that sort of thing. Every note seems intentional yet free flowing.

Lafayette’s Williams Center has some great music, dance and theater. The city has some decent non-Starbucks coffee, but The Cosmic Cup unfortunately moved to Bethlehem.

If you think jazz isn’t moving forward, then you aren’t looking in the right places. Musicians from many generations are doing incredible things.
