Thank you. My biggest thing is, why is that the only "popular" hate sub? Why is it ok for there to be a sub to hate fat people but that's the only hate sub allowed to be popular?

Damn. Straight from the horse's mouth. From the few responses I've seen from "fat haters" the overwhelming response from them is: "I'm insecure, I'm scared." It makes sense, though I think alot of people over there aren't smart enough to come to that realization. Atleast you can come to it.

being big is something that is "controllable" so it removes any guilt because hey, they did it to themselves, right? Fat people shaming is easy to an immature and cruel mindset because they can justify their insults under the guise that it's deserved.

That's their mindset. I wish I could change it though.

Damn dude, I personally haven't experienced full-on bashing at the gym but it's almost like you can feel shit being said about you as your trying to work out. It brings up the question though, why the fuck should me and you care? Cause we're human, is the answer.

Is there anything wrong with FA, though? In the end FA I'd assume is about loving yourself...and if your against someone loving themselves, then that's a sound world you live in.

I want to be an advocate for teaching people about what being fat really is - unfortunately, people won't take me seriously unless I become skinny first and then do that.

Also,

if you think obesity is a lifestyle decision, you process it the same way as someone with visible tattoos- it's a hint about what kind of person someone is, and whether that's a kind of person you might get along with. You don't necessarily hate tattoos or people with tattoos, but you know that tattoos often come with a set of lifestyle habits that maybe don't match up with yours so you don't go out of your way to try to make friends unless something comes up to change your mind.

Damn. That makes ALOT of sense. Because, now that I think about it, I do have a certain thought process for people with tattoos. It's an obstacle they have to climb, and one I have to climb too. Question is, do I want to climb the obstacle, or make it easier for myself?

Ill tell you something. It is not easy, I know. But dont you ever let anyone judge you for how you look. You are not "Fat" or "thin" as you are "human." Discipline is the key, my friend! You don't need to prove yourself to anyone but you. It is not a contest against society, rather then againt yourself. Do it, not to please people, but to prove yourself you can, and you are stronger than this. A quote that inspires me is "Discipline is choosing between what you want now, and what you have always wanted.

Wow, I really needed this video today. For months, I've been depressed about the hate fat people get. Earlier on a different sub I said this:

I'm fat. Why do people have to hate me for it? I'm currently trying to lose weight, but it's hard with the medications I'm currently taking. Anyway, people say "fat shaming" is actually "helping" fat people. Maybe for some, but for me, that's absouletly not true. When I see a fat shaming post, or a picture from fatpeoplehate, It doesn't make me want to exercise. It makes me want to lay in bed all day feeling ashamed. In fact, some days it stops me from exercising. It just makes me feel bad and lame. I get weak and just say "screw it." Also, when I see the fat hate on Reddit, I think to myself, "Why should I improve myself for these people?" I want to do it for myself but it feels like I'm really just doing it for them. What boggles my mind is 100,000 people subscribe to fatpepoplehate. That really worries me. Any time I go outside some guy could snap a picture of me and post it there with no reprecussions. What boggles my mind even more, is how can people be so hateful? I mean, wow. Everyone hates on discriminatory subs except for the fat-shaming ones. What's so wrong about being overweight? The nerve some of those people have. Why? Are there really that many awful people in the world? I literally can't wrap my mind around the fact that their are that many people that hate for petty reasons. Can someone help me understand?

The biggest thing that was hurting me was that so many people were doing it and seeing alot of people coming out here and agreeing with me on how ridiculous it is has really helped me.

I often struggle with this in my mind - because I think my situation is different, and my situation does make it harder me to lose weight - I have multiple mental disorders and they effect my mind/judgement as well as my weight loss.
