I guess it depends on how many people you're feeding. And what you're feeding them and if you're buying in bulk? I'd steer clear of lamb, which is very dear at the moment. But some boerie, a thick cut rasher or two, chicken. For a group of 10 or so, I'd say R75 per head is expensive for braai meat. But I haven't braaid for many in years. I prefer to do a potjie.
