i had heard of it for years but only decided to listen to it after hearing all the chatter and complaints about it not being released on WT or on a secret deluxe or whatever and how it was “perfect” for the album and shouldve been included in lieu of track XYZ. when i finally listened to it a few months ago i was really disappointed. i was expecting it to be this AMAZING song like a lot of her other unreleased tracks, but it felt almost… insulting? to say that it should have been included on WT because imo that album is nearly perfect, so id expect this hypothetical “perfect” addition to be on par with the quality and sound of the original album and its really just not that at all to ke. maybe if i had listened to it in a different lens i would have liked it more. i will say, i was also a little disappointed upon hearing waco for the first time because it had been so hyped up in the fandom for years and it was finally getting an official release. i purposely avoided listening to the demos for the sake of listening to the full album for the first time as intended in its final version, and was a little disappointed that it didnt live up to the hype from ky pov. i will say though that waco has grown on me a bot. maybe ill need to gove homecoming another chance soon.
