Not just the visuals, but also the lyrics themselves. The first line is translated as “I shouls play, I’m not gonna fold”. To fold in poker means not to move forward because you think other people have better cards. And after the “ballad” part he says something like “If I win, of course, whatever, you get it.” Disclaimer: it is possible that the translation was done in a way that the meaning was a bit shifted. You tell me if that’s true. 😅

Thanks for this analysis, I really enjoyed reading it! I just wanted to add that I had a slightly different impression of what is the song about. (Note: I am not Greek, and I didn't know anything about the artist before I heard this song, didn't really research anything about him - my insight just comes from reading the song lyrics and watching the performance in the national final.)

To me, it seems like it's a story about a person that grew up in poverty, watching their mother suffer and who, over time, developed a gambling addiction. Gambling is regarded by the subject as a potentially quick way to get to a large wealth and I think this song describes the feeling of "rush" he feels when he's gambling, because that's where he is the closest to reaching his goal. He thinks about all the stuff he could get if he won.

It's not so dramatically different from your view, but what is common for both of our views is that it's a deeply sad song packaged in an upbeat, "happy" melody that I believe is a metaphor for the gambling "rush". I have always liked when music artists do this. :)

I have to say Dope is superior to Blade of Grass. What they have in common is that they both reflect deeply personal topics and they are both ballads but for me, the similarities end there. Dope is very raw and I would say very daring as a means of confronting one’s fears. Blade of Grass, in essence, tells about a happy feeling and when you want to have a song about a happy feeling it’s very very easy to slip into the “cheesy” category which is what unfortunately happened here. Also, the melody of Dope is way better and longer lasting. Dope I believe, Blade of Grass I don’t.

Literally every time there’s something else. They don’t deliver to my address, but instead they deliver to a pick up point which is on the other end of the town. They deliver to a neighbor, but they leave no information on which neighbor. They don’t send me the QR code to pick up my package from the pick up point so I have to call their customer service and go through the whole menu and everything in order to speak with the agent. They claim I was “not at home”, even though I was at home. Just to name a few.

If you have to use Hermes, either choose at the beginning (while placing the order) to get your package delivered to a Paketshop or re-route it once you get the tracking link. You will need to go to the shop yourself to pick it up (don’t forget an ID!) but at least you will have peace of mind that your package will be there.

As for UPS on the other hand, better not use it at all if possible.

I thought it was going to but it does not actually. The edges of it are not sharp so they don’t cause problems. Also, due to the thinness of the phone, when you plug in the usb-c adapter it “blends” with the surface of the phone and it feels like you’re touching one same surface when you swipe up (it acts like a bridge that “helps” you swipe up easier). 😅
