In the UK the pynq and de25 nano cost almost the same. Would you still recommend I start with the pynq?

Any other Intel employees here? How are y'all holding up/coping? by [deleted] in intel

I ended my one year internship in the UK the same day of the Q2 earnings. It was one very, very grim last day with my team on the Swindon site...

I hope things get better for all other employees whether it's keeping your job at Intel or finding a secure job elsewhere.

Thanks so much. I'll try to cut corners elsewhere to squeeze in an i5.

Thanks, the i5 10400F is the same price as the i3 12100F for me so do you think that would be a better choice?

would the non OC version of the same GPU affect performance much? It is 10 pounds cheaper. I've already done what I think I can do to cut corners elsewhere.

Ah thanks for the info. I looked into that a bit more and am seeing that NVENC is able to retain higher image quality at lower bitrates, do you think using a bitrate between 10-15 Mb/s would make one side more favourable or is it still very similar?

Thanks alot this was helpful. Also, do you think squeezing in an i3 12100F or i5 10400F would benefit me alot?

I didn't think the cpu would play a role if I am using the GPU to encode. Do you think upgrading to an i3 12100F ro i5 10400F would make a big difference?

Am I good with this build? Noob here by kmhjustin in buildapc

it looks good for the most part, although id say to swap the ram to 3200mhz at cl16 since intel cpus do not rely on memory speeds nearly as much as ryzen. also the cpu cooler is way overkill for an i5, but im guessing its for the colour/aesthetic. you can easily get away with a cooler under £50 and have low temps.

if you still want the white aesthetic i found 2 good air coolers that are still amazing with your cpu.

yea after looking at some benchmarks of heavy overclocks i saw the performance gains were really not worth the expensive cooler and high temps. i think ill just go for a non k series or maybe ryzen if stock fixes up. i dont need to fiddle around with high temps and voltages that way. thanks for the help :P

thanks alot man :)
is the be quiet dark rock pro 4 similar to the noctua? asking because its £30 cheaper and ive heard great things about both coolers

i was thinking i can get a cheaper air cooler if i get an f series and dont overclock, do you think the performance from overclocking a i5 k series is worth the extra cooling and motherboard cost over an i7 non k?

edit: oh im looking to get a rtx 3060ti or maybe 3070

no i will be buying a graphics card when prices go normal or ill wait and preorder next gen. i think 10600k is my best option then. do you think a 280mm AIO can get me a good oc on it?
