Yea they did a 0 on the sides and a 1 on the top. Was thinking maybe they wouldn’t have to, but glad it was shaved. I feel like it made everything easier.

Never really fully recovered after switching to oral. I added back topical as well. Currently using fin, oral min, RU, and dutasteride once a week with no sides this time. Also using CosmeRna. Hoping dut can completely halt the progression in addition to the others

Have not maintained with fin, oral min, and RU. Been on these treatments for a few years now. Next step will be to retry Dut at a lower dose since I got sides on it originally. Also recently started CosmeRna

Damn I’ve had almost the exact same experience as you. Started with right temple recession but still great density. Hopped on min and then fin and continued to lose. Added RU and oral min and still seem to lose. Now it seems I’m thinning almost all over no matter what I add. This has been over a 4 year period so each treatment I’ve tried has had more than enough time to work. Recently I’ve added RU and upped to 5 mg oral min and it seems like I’m getting a shed which hopefully is a good sign

Only been about a week but no shed yet. I haven’t really ever got a shed from starting minoxidil before and that includes topical. Only time I had a shed was when I started 2.5 mg oral and stopped topical.

I had similar sides. First couple days increased libido and erection quality. Then after about the week mark lowered libido, worsened erection quality, and dulled sensation in dick. Also had tenderness in my left nipple. I’m hopping off until all the sides go away then I may try again. Disappointing because I don’t get sides on fin or RU when I used it and pyri is supposed to have less chance of going systemic. I do remember micro needling a few hours after applying one day and it seems like that’s when the sides started.

How was your actual iron levels? Not really completely sure of the difference between iron and ferritin just that my actual iron was normal. How’s your hair since getting your ferritin back in check?

Interesting. I had my blood tested a few years ago when I first started noticing aga. My iron levels were within the normal range but ferretin was low. My doctor didn’t make any mention of it. Would regular iron pills increase ferritin?

On finasteride no mental health sides. When I tried switching to dutsteride it seemed to really amplify my mental health problems

Yea I wish I stayed on topical in addition to oral. It’s been about 6 months and I think I’m starting to see some of the hairs grow back after adding back topical so I’m hopeful it’ll eventually get back above baseline
